''Foolish (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)'' is the soundtrack album to Dave Meyers' 1999 comedy drama film '' Foolish''. It was released on March 23, 1999 via No Limit/Priority Records. Production was handled by Carlos Stephens, Craig B., KLC, L.T. Hutton, Mark In The Dark, M.P., O'Dell, Supreme Nyborn and the Whole 9, with Master P serving as executive producer. It features contributions from the film star Master P and his labelmates and affiliates C-Murder, Crooked Eye, Fiend, Ghetto Commission, Kane & Abel, Lil' Soldiers, Magic, Mia X, Mo B. Foolish (film)
''Foolish'' is a 1999 comedy drama film directed by Dave Meyers (in his directoral debut), and starring Master P and Eddie Griffin. It was No Limit Films second theatrical release after ''I Got the Hook-Up''. Plot Quentin "Fifty Dollah" Waise (Master P) is involved in a crime ring that earns him good money but worries his grandmother Odetta (Marla Gibbs), who dotes on him and encourages him to follow a more righteous path. Fifty Dollah's brother Miles "Foolish" Waise ( Eddie Griffin), who got his nickname from Odetta, is an aspiring comedian, but his inability to get his career going convinces his older sibling he's wasting his talents. The movie pays homage to several of Griffin's idols, such as Redd Foxx, Robin Harris and Sammy Davis Jr. who appear as feet under restroom stalls while he prepares to perform. Mia Young (born January 9, 1970), better known by her stage name Mia X, is an American rapper and songwriter from New Orleans. She enjoyed success in the local " bounce" scene of the early 1990s. The O'Jays are an American Rhythm and blues, R&B group from Canton, Ohio, formed in summer 1958 and originally consisting of Eddie Levert, Walter Lee Williams, William Powell, Bobby Massey, and Bill Isles. Parliament was an American funk band formed in 1968 by George Clinton as a flagship act of his P-Funk collective. Tha Dogg Pound is an American hip-hop duo composed of West Coast rappers Kurupt and Daz Dillinger. They were among the first acts to sign to Death Row Records in 1992. Kurupt and Daz went on to release solo albums starting in 1998; they left the crumbling Death Row Records following year. Daz left due to long-lasting internal struggles on the label after friend and labelmate Tupac Shakur's Murder of Tupac Shakur, murder in 1996.
