Foolishness
Foolishness is the inability or failure to act following reason due to lack of judgment, stupidity, stubbornness, etc. The things such as impulsivity and/or influences may affect a person's ability to make reasonable decisions. Other reasons of apparent foolishness include naivety, gullibility, and credulity. Foolishness differs from stupidity, which is the lack of intelligence. An act of foolishness is called folly. A person who is foolish is called a fool. The opposite of foolishness is prudence. Concept Andreas Maercker in 1995 defined foolishness as rigid, dogmatic, and inflexible thinking which makes feelings of bitterness and probable annoyance. "Foolish" is the debut solo single by American singer Ashanti. It was released as the lead single from her self-titled debut album (2002) by Def Jam Recordings, AJM, and Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. Records on February 11, 2002. It was written by Ashanti, Etterlene Jordan, Mark DeBarge and Irv Gotti, while production was overseen by Gotti. The song heavily samples DeBarge's " Stay with Me". Due to the inclusion of the sample, Mark DeBarge and Etterlene Jordan are also credited as songwriters. A promotional version of the single called "Unfoolish" features a verse from The Notorious B.I.G. from his song "F--king You Tonight". The song spent ten consecutive weeks at number one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, becoming Ashanti's second number one and third top ten on both charts. "Foolish" is the third single from rapper Shawty Lo's debut album '' Units in the City''. The song was officially released and added on iTunes on June 17, 2008. Music video The music video is first seen at the end of Shawty Lo's video for his previous single, " Dunn Dunn." The remix is the continuation for it. The MTV version of the remix video edits the part that says "cross your t's and dot your i's". This is actually a direct reference to fellow Atlanta rapper T.I., with whom Shawty Lo has a well-publicized amity. Remix The official remix features DJ Khaled, Birdman, Rick Ross and Jim Jones. ''Foolish'' is the fourth studio album by American indie rock band Superchunk. It was recorded from November 30 through December 2, 1993, at Pachyderm Studios, by Brian Paulson and mixed by the band and Paulson at Steve Albini's home studio. The album was released by Merge Records in 1994. The cover art is credited to the band's bassist, Laura Ballance. Ballance has stated that although the painting has generated much speculation into its deeper meaning, it was simply an "unpracticed" attempt to hark back to an American Music Club album cover. ''Foolish'' is a 1999 comedy drama film directed by Dave Meyers (in his directoral debut), and starring Master P and Eddie Griffin. It was No Limit Films second theatrical release after ''I Got the Hook-Up''. Plot Quentin "Fifty Dollah" Waise (Master P) is involved in a crime ring that earns him good money but worries his grandmother Odetta (Marla Gibbs), who dotes on him and encourages him to follow a more righteous path.
