Foo Choo Choon ( (Man with little wang); 30 July 1860 – 27 March 1921), a Hakka tin miner, revenue farmer and businessman from Penang and Perak was, in his time, said to have been the richest Chinaman in the world.Chinese Business Enterprise By Rajeswary Ampalavanar Brown Published by Taylor & Francis, 1996 , ; pp. 58 He was called the "Tin King" and 'the Carnagie of the Orient'. Yongding County
Yongding () is a district under the jurisdiction of Longyan prefecture-level city in the southwest of Fujian Province, People's Republic of China. The district is a center for Hakka culture, including the traditional Hakka '' tulou'', and a local dialect of the Hakka Chinese called the . As of 2015, Yongding has a permanent population of about 361,000, of which more than 99% are Hakka, the rest being She people. The State of Penang, one of the most developed and urbanised Malaysian states, is located at the nation's northwest coast along the Malacca Strait.
