The Fondazione Pisa (formerly Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Pisa) is a charity organization that was spun off from Cassa di Risparmio di Pisa (the Saving Bank of Pisa) in 1992. From 1992 to 1999 the foundation was the major shareholder of the bank, but was gradually sold to Banca Popolare di Lodi (and its successor Banco Popolare). History In 1992 Cassa di Risparmio di Pisa was transformed from a statutory corporation to a Società per Azioni (S.p.A.), which the original statuary corporation was renamed into Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Pisa (Fondazione Pisa, Pisa Foundation), which acted as the major shareholder of the S.p.A. for 86.95% shares at the date of incorporation. The foundation immediately formed a larger banking group with other saving banks: Casse Toscane, which the new holding company hold 70% shares of CR Pisa S.p.A., with Pisa Foundation only retained 16.68% shares of the bank directly. Cassa di Risparmio di Pisa is a former Italian savings bank and charity organization, based in Pisa, Tuscany. The bank was spin off into a banking foundation and a Società per Azioni in 1992. Pisa International Airport — also named Galileo Galilei Airport — is an international airport located in Pisa, Italy. It is one of the two major airports in Tuscany, the other being Florence Airport. Taddeo Di Bartolo
Taddeo di Bartolo (c. 1363 – 26 August 1422), also known as Taddeo Bartoli, was an Italian painter of the Sienese School during the early Renaissance. His biography appears in the '' Vite'' of Giorgio Vasari, who claims that Taddeo was the uncle of Domenico di Bartolo. Biography Taddeo di Bartolo was born in Siena. The exact year of his birth is unknown, but possibly between 1363-65. He was the son of a certain Bartolo di Maestro Mino, a barber, and not of the painter Bartolo di Fredi, as Vasari believed, and therefore Taddeo was not the brother of Andrea di Bartolo. Francesco Da Volterra
Francesco da Volterra (, ) was an Italian painter and architect. He resided in Pisa from 1370 to 1372, where, from the records of the Campo Santo, he painted the ''History of Job'' on the south wall. Like the rest of the earlier pictures in the Campo Santo, it is now almost obliterated, but some idea of its weird realism may still be formed from Lasinio's ''Pitture del Campo Santo'' and other reproductions in Italian books on art. Palazzo Blu is a former aristocratic palace, now a center for temporary exhibitions and cultural activities located in 9 Lungarno Gambacorti, in the heart of the historic center of Pisa, region of Tuscany, Italy. This museum is managed by the Fondazione Palazzo Blu (a foundation funded by Fondazione Pisa), and is located in the Palazzo Giuli Rosselmini Gualandi (and Palazzo Casarosa), ancient palace restored by the Fondazione Pisa. San Paolo a Ripa d'Arno (St. Paul on the bank of the Arno) is a Roman Catholic church in Pisa, region of Tuscany, Italy. It is a pre-eminent example of Tuscan Romanesque church architecture.
