The Folda Bridge () is a suspension bridge in Nærøysund Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The bridge crosses the Foldereidsundet strait which is part of the inner-Foldafjord. Folda, Trøndelag
Folda is a firth and a fjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located within Flatanger Municipality, Namsos Municipality, and Nærøysund Municipality. The large wide firth is about long which then narrows into a fjord which is about long. The narrower fjord part of Folda is often called the ''Foldfjorden'' or ''Innerfolda''. Most of the fjord is very narrow, some places with steep cliffs. It has the largest length to width factor among Norway's fjords. The fjord is crossed by the Norwegian County Road 17 road using the Folda Bridge at the village of Foldereid. Spruce forests cover most areas around the fjord. Folda, Nordland
The Folda is a fjord in Nordland county, Norway. The fjord is located in the waters of Bodø Municipality, Steigen Municipality, and Sørfold Municipality. The Folda empties into the Vestfjorden about northeast of the town of Bodø. The fjord is about wide in the west where it joins the Vestfjorden between the Kjerringøy and Leiranger peninsulas. Folda (Rindal)
The Folda is a river in Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in Norway. The river is part of the Surna watershed and flows into the Surna west-southwest of the village of Rindal in Rindal Municipality in Trøndelag county. It has its source in the Trollheimen mountains on the border of Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county and Oppdal Municipality in Trøndelag county. The river heads northwards and, for a time, it forms the border between Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties. Two reservoirs lie along the course of the river: Lake Fold ( or ''Follsjø'') and Gray Lake (). The Folda has a catchment area of and is fed by several tributaries: the Rinna, Bulu, and Vindøla. The name of the river comes from Old Norse ''Fold'', probably meaning 'the broad one'. Jaroslav Thayer Folda III (b. 25 July 1940 Baltimore, Md.) is a medievalist, in which field he is a Haskins Medal winner; he is a scholar in the history of the art of the Crusades and the N. Ferebee Taylor Professor of the History of Art at the University of North Carolina. His area of interest for teaching and research is the art of the Middle Ages in Europe and the Mediterranean world. Folda's approach is art in historical context in which the work of art is examined in terms of form and function, meaning and content, along with what we can know about the patron, the artist, the workshop process by which it was produced, and the audience for whom it was intended.
