Caroline Louise Flack (9 November 1979 – 15 February 2020) was an English television and radio presenter and actress. She won the twelfth series of BBC’s ''Strictly Come Dancing'' in 2014 and presented ''The X Factor'' and later '' Love Island''. Flack grew up in Norfolk and took an interest in dancing and theatre while at school. She began her professional career as an actress, starring in '' Bo' Selecta!'' Roberta Cleopatra Flack (born February 10, 1937) is a retired American singer. She topped the ''Billboard'' charts with the No. 1 singles " The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", " Killing Me Softly with His Song", " Feel Like Makin' Love", " Where Is the Love" and " The Closer I Get to You", the latter two duets with Donny Hathaway. Edwin Flack
Edwin Harold Flack (5 November 1873 – 10 January 1935) was an Australian athlete and tennis player. Also known as "Teddy", he was Australia's first Olympian, being its only representative in 1896, and the first Olympic champion in the 800 metres and the 1500 metres running events. Following Flack's Olympic appearance, he did not compete in any large events again, opting to breed cattle and help his family's accounting firm. Flack died aged 61 following an operation, and was buried in his hometown of Berwick. He is commemorated there by a bronze statue on High Street and a reserve which includes several sporting grounds. Flack was also inducted into the Sport Australia and Athletics Australia halls of fame in 1985 and 2000, respectively. Audrey Flack
Audrey L. Flack (born May 30, 1931) is an American artist. Her work pioneered the art genre of photorealism and encompasses painting, sculpture, and photography. Flack has numerous academic degrees, including both a graduate and an honorary doctorate degree from Cooper Union in New York City. Additionally she has a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Yale University and attended New York University Institute of Fine Arts where she studied art history. In May 2015, Flack received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from Clark University, where she also gave a commencement address. Flack's work is displayed in several major museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Steve Flack
Steven Richard Flack (born 29 May 1971) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Cardiff City and Exeter City. After playing amateur football as a teenager in Cambridgeshire, he attracted attention from several Football League clubs and signed for Cardiff City in November 1995 for £10,000. However, after making eleven appearances for the side, he was sold to Exeter City for the same price the following year. Flack remained with Exeter for ten years, making over 400 appearances in all competitions and becoming the club's fourth highest league goalscorer of all time. ''Flack'' is a British dramedy television series. The first season, starring Anna Paquin, premiered on 21 February 2019 and consisted of six episodes. On 2 August 2019, the series was renewed for a second season. It was scheduled to premiere on Pop in the U.S. on March 13, 2020, but was removed from the schedule after cutbacks by parent company ViacomCBS. In the UK, the show's website listed the second season as scheduled to run on W that March, before being changed to "Coming Soon". In late March 2020, the first season was made available through the video on demand platforms of Pop's sister network Showtime in the United States, though a confirmation of the network airing the second season has not been made. John Flack (born 3 January 1957) is a British Conservative Party politician. He was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the East of England, having lost his seat to the Brexit Party in the 2019 EU Election. Max John Flack (February 5, 1890 – July 31, 1975) was a Major League Baseball outfielder. He played twelve seasons in the majors from 1914 to 1925 for the Chicago Chi-Feds/Whales (1914–15) of the Federal League, then the Chicago Cubs (1916–22) and the St. Louis Cardinals (1922–25) of the National League. Career Flack's career with Chicago got off to a great start. He stole 37 bases in each of his first two seasons. Marjorie Flack (October 22, 1897 - August 29, 1958) was an American artist and writer of children's picture books. Flack was born in Greenport, Long Island, New York in 1897. She was best known for '' The Story about Ping'' (1933), illustrated by Kurt Wiese, popularized by Captain Kangaroo, and for her stories of an insatiably curious Scottish terrier named Angus, who was actually her dog. Karen Ashby Flack is an American mechanical engineer specializing in experimental fluid dynamics. She is a professor of mechanical engineering at the United States Naval Academy. Education and career Flack studied mechanical engineering at Rice University, graduating in 1986.
