Faris Haroun (born 22 September 1985) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He has also played for the Belgium national team. Club career K.R.C. Genk Born in Brussels, Belgium, Haroun began playing football at his local club Scup Jette. He then moved to play for R.W.D. Molenbeek and RSD Jette before moving to Genk, where he started his professional career. Haroun scored on his professional debut for Genk when Kevin Vandenbergh "gave the decisive assist to Haroun who placed the ball past a hopeless Kris Van De Putte", in a 1–0 win against R.A.E.C.
