''Fallout from the War'' is a compilation album by heavy metal band Shadows Fall, released on June 13, 2006. It contains a selection of songs written during the sessions for '' The War Within'' and '' The Art of Balance'', as well as some covers by bands that have inspired Shadows Fall over the years. ''Fallout from the War'' is billed as a "companion" to ''The War Within''. It was their final release for Century Media before moving to Atlantic Records. Shadows Fall
Shadows Fall is an American metalcore band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1996. Although Shadows Fall has experienced several line-up changes, for most of its recording career, Shadows Fall has been composed of guitarists Jon Donais and Matt Bachand, bassist Paul Romanko, lead vocalist Brian Fair and drummer Jason Bittner. Shadows Fall has released seven studio albums, three compilation albums, and two DVDs. The band's first album featured Philip Labonte (of All That Remains) on lead vocals, but he was soon replaced by Fair. Shadows Fall's first two studio albums featured David Germain playing drums; however, in 2002, Bittner joined the band full-time. Jonathan Donais
Jonathan Donais (born April 5, 1979), also known as Jon Donais, is an American guitarist, best known as the lead guitarist for thrash metal band Anthrax since 2013, and as co-founder of metalcore band Shadows Fall. Career Early career and Shadows Fall Prior to co-founding Shadows Fall with fellow guitarist Matt Bachand in 1996, Donais was a member of metalcore band Aftershock from 1993 to 1997, which morphed into Killswitch Engage, although after his departure. Shadows Fall's first line-up included Donais and Bachand alongside Damien McPherson (vocals), Mark Laliberte (bass), and David Germain (drums). By late 1996, the band recorded and released a demo titled ''Mourning a Dead World,'' of which only about 200 copies were produced. Jonah Jay Jenkins (born Jonah Moore, October 6, 1970) is an American vocalist, known for his work with bands such as Only Living Witness, Miltown (band), Miltown, Milligram (band), Milligram, The Northern Skulls and Raw Radar War. Biography Born Jonah Moore, his sister is Kassie Carlson, the vocalist for Guerilla Toss. Jenkins formed Only Living Witness with Eric Stevenson, of Formicide in 1989. David Germain
David Germain is a drummer who has played in several bands including Shadows Fall and Jaya the Cat. He was born in the United States, but is currently living in the Netherlands. Biography Germain formed his first band with Tom Kennedy (guitar), Kevin Theroux (vocals), and Ausberto Acevedo (bass). They hit the scene as Centrifuge. Brian James Fair (born May 30, 1975) is an American musician from Massachusetts, best known as lead vocalist of the metalcore band Shadows Fall. He graduated from Milford High School in 1993, and went on to study literature at Boston University. Early life From a young age, Brian Fair had always been known for his affinity for a wide range of music. In seventh grade he had his first visit to a recording studio after he and two friends won a radio jingle contest (sponsored by Mass Electric) with a Beastie Boys-inspired tune "The Energy Conservation Rap Song." Dangerous Toys is an Austin, Texas-based rock band, with often humorous lyrics. Founded in 1987, Dangerous Toys released four full-length albums and one live album before unofficially disbanding at the turn of the millennium. Killswitch Engage is an American metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1999. Only Living Witness was an American metal band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1989 by members of dissolved thrash metal band Formicide. Across two studio albums, they developed a modern hardcore punk-influenced heavy metal sound. The band split up in 1995.
