FYI (Southeast Asian TV Channel)
FYI (stylized as fyi,) was a Southeast Asian television channel (excluding Malaysia, formerly including Malaysia) dedicating to lifestyle. The channel was launched on May 27, 2008 as Bio. by A+E Networks Asia, a joint-venture between A+E Networks and Astro Holdings Sdn Bhd in Malaysia. On October 6, 2014, Bio. became FYI. After 11 years of broadcasting, the channel ceased broadcasting on 1 July 2019, after which the channel space created in 2008 by The Biography Channel ceased to exist. Standard-definition television (SDTV; also standard definition or SD) is a television system that uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. The show followed the professional life of William "Billy" Bretherton, an entomologist, pest control technician, and the proprietor of Vexcon Animal and Pest Control in Benton, Louisiana, which serves the Shreveport- Bossier metropolitan area. A 16th season is scheduled to premiere on June 7, 2025. When rent is not paid on a storage locker for three months in California, the contents can be sold by an auctioneer as a single lot of items in the form of a cash-only auction. The show follows professional buyers who visit storage facilities throughout the state and bid on these lockers. Before each locker is auctioned, the buyers are given five minutes to inspect the contents from the doorway, but may not enter the locker or touch any of the items.
