FC Terek Grozny
Republican Football Club Akhmat (; ), commonly known as Akhmat Grozny, and formerly as Terek Grozny from 1958 to 2017, is a Russian professional football club based in Grozny that plays in the Russian Premier League. History The club was founded in 1946, as ''Dynamo''; it changed its name in 1948 to ''Neftyanik'' and in 1958 to ''Terek''. On 7 June 2017, the team was renamed ''Akhmat'', after Akhmad Kadyrov, former President of the Chechen Republic. In the 1990s the club was disbanded for some time due to the war in Chechnya. From the 1990s to 2007 the club played its home games in the neighbouring resort city of Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Krai. They won the Russian Cup by beating Krylya Sovetov Samara in the final and the Russian First Division in 2004. Akhmat-Arena
The Akhmat Arena () is a multi-use stadium in Grozny, Chechnya, Russia, named after former President of the Chechen Republic Akhmad Kadyrov. It was completed in May 2011, and is used mostly for football matches. The stadium hosts home matches of FC Akhmat Grozny. The stadium was designed with a capacity of 30,000 spectators. It replaced Sultan Bilimkhanov Stadium as the home of FC Terek. The grand opening took place on 11 May 2011. The first competitive match in Akhmat Stadium took place on 20 May 2011. Daniel Gabriel Pancu (; born 17 August 1977) is a Romanian professional football coach and a former player who played mainly as a forward or an attacking midfielder. Club career Pancu began his playing career at Politehnica Iași. He made his debut in Divizia A in 1995. In the winter of 1996 he was transferred to Rapid București for the sum of US$200,000. This was, at that time, the highest fee ever paid for a Iași player. After two and a half seasons, he moved to A.C. Cesena, in the Italian Serie B, for US$1,200,000. CSKA () was a Bulgarian sports society from Sofia, Bulgaria. CSKA stands for Central Sports Club of the Army (). It was founded on 5 May 1948 as Septemvri pri CDV, after the unification of the two sports clubs from the city, Chavdar and Septemvri. Since then, the club changed its name several times before settling on CSKA in 1989. The club is historically known as the Bulgarian Army sports club. 2008 Russian Premier League
The 2008 Russian Premier League was the 17th edition of the Russian Football Championship, and the seventh under the current Russian Premier League name. The season started on Friday, 14 March 2008 with a match between Terek and Krylia Sovetov in Grozny. Krylia Sovetov won 3–0. The first goal of the season was scored by Krylia Sovetov's forward Yevgeny Savin. Due to Russia's participation in UEFA Euro 2008, the season was interrupted from 16 May until 5 July. The champions were determined on the 27th matchday, 2 November 2008. Rubin claimed their first championship title in Russian Premier League, defeating Saturn 2–1 away, with Savo Milošević scoring in the 89th minute to claim the title for his club.
