FC Hard is an Austrian football club located in Hard, a town in the country’s westernmost state of Vorarlberg. They currently play in the Vorarlbergliga, the 4th tier of Austrian football. History The club was formed in 1922 as SpVgg Hard. The name was changed to FC Hard in 1947. The club played in the fourth tier Vorarlbergliga for most of its history. Since winning that league in 1989, the team has competed in the Austrian Regional League West. Stadium FC Hard play their home matches in Waldstadion Hard, which is located in the north of the town near Lake Constance. The current capacity is 2550, of which 750 is covered seating. The average attendance for the 2010–11 season was 407. Vorarlbergliga
The Vorarlbergliga is the highest football league of the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. It's the fourth highest football league in Austria. Exclusively limited to teams of the Vorarlberg Football Association (german: Vorarlberger Fussballverband, VFV). Vorarlbergliga was part of the 4th highest level which called Austrian Landesliga. However, inside Vorarlberg state, Landesliga was the name of the fifth-tier which teams of Vorarlbergliga relegated to. Mode The league consists of 16 teams. In each season, each club plays against each other club in one home and one away match. A season is therefore made up of 30 games. The champion of the Vorarlbergliga is entitled to move up to the third-tier, the Regionalliga West. If the champion refuses the promotion, this can lead to a relegation from the league, which has been implicated since the 2011–12 season. Football is the most popular sport in Austria. The Austrian Football Association, the ''ÖFB'' (''Österreichischer Fußball-Bund''), was founded in 1904 and has been a member of FIFA since then. Despite the sport's popularity, except for a successful streak in the early 1930s, the country's national team has not been successful in tournaments. Austria played their first ever European championship as a qualifier in 2016, but finished last in their group and failed to advance. Their only prior appearance in the European championship was in 2008 (when it co-hosted the championship with Switzerland and was thus exempt from qualification), but was promptly eliminated already at the group stage. Hard, Austria
Hard is a town in the west of the westernmost Austrian state of Vorarlberg, directly on the southern shores of Lake Constance. Hard's attractions include the Strandbad and the Grünerdamm. Vorarlberg
Vorarlberg ( , ; gsw, label= Vorarlbergisch, Vorarlbearg, , or ) is the westernmost state () of Austria. It has the second-smallest geographical area after Vienna and, although it also has the second-smallest population, it is the state with the second-highest population density (also after Vienna). It borders three countries: Germany (Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg via Lake Constance), Switzerland (Grisons and St. Gallen), and Liechtenstein. The only Austrian state that shares a border with Vorarlberg is Tyrol, to the east. Austrian Regional League West
The Austrian Regional League West (german: Regionalliga West) was a third-tier division of Austrian football introduced in the 1980–81 season as successor of the ''Alpenliga''. It covered the Austrian states of Salzburg, Tyrol (excepting East Tyrol) and Vorarlberg and was one of three leagues at this level. 2019–20 reformation Due to high travel costs, the Vorarlberg and Tyrol clubs decide to form their own Elite ligas, forcing Salzburg to do so as well. The Eliteliga will be divided in a Regionalliga Salzburg, Regionalliga Tirol and Eliteliga Vorarlberg in the fall with 10 clubs each. The two best teams of these three regional leagues play in an Eliteliga play-off for promotion to the 2nd league. Lake Constance
Lake Constance (german: Bodensee, ) refers to three bodies of water on the Rhine at the northern foot of the Alps: Upper Lake Constance (''Obersee''), Lower Lake Constance (''Untersee''), and a connecting stretch of the Rhine, called the Lake Rhine (''Seerhein'').
