FCLTGlobal is a non-profit organization that conducts research and develops frameworks related to extending investment time horizons and corporate planning periods. The organization was established in 2016 to study what it characterizes as short-term pressures in capital markets and corporate decision-making. FCLTGlobal operates through a membership model that includes pension funds, asset management firms, and multinational corporations. Its research is made publicly available through reports and white papers. History FCLTGlobal originated from an initiative by CPP Investments (formerly CPPIB) and McKinsey & Company. In 2013, these organizations collaborated on a research project titled "Focusing Capital on the Long Term" to address concerns about short-termism in global financial markets. Peter Harrison (born 1966) is a British businessman, and the chief executive (CEO) of Schroders, a British multinational investment management company. Early life and education Peter Harrison was born in Cheshire on 25 May 1966 to Stanley G. Harrison and his wife Jennifer L. nee Harrow, who were married in Bucklow, Cheshire, in Q1 1963. He has a sister Sally, born Q4 1968. Harrison studied at the University of Bath, graduating in 1988 with a degree in business administration. Mark Wiseman (born 1970) is a Canadian businessman and financier who has worked with many institutional investors and the Government of Canada. Zhang Lei (born 1972) is an investor and philanthropist. He is the founder and chairman of Hillhouse Investment, the largest private equity firm operating in Asia as of October 2021. The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB; ), operating as CPP Investments (), is a Canadian Crown corporation established by way of the 1997 ''Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act'' to oversee and invest the funds contributed to and held by the Canada Pension Plan (CPP).
