Evan Bates
Evan Bates (born February 23, 1989) is an American ice dancer. With his skating partner, Madison Chock, he is a 2022 Olympic team event silver medalist, a three-time World medalist (silver in 2015, bronze in 2016 and 2022), a four-time Grand Prix Final silver medalist ( 2014–15, 2015–16, 2019–20, 2022–23), a two-time Four Continents champion (2019, 2020), and a three-time U.S. national champion ( 2015, 2020, 2022). The two represented the United States at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. With former partner Emily Samuelson, Bates is the 2009 Four Continents bronze medalist, the 2008 World Junior champion, and the 2009 U.S. national silver medalist. Madison La'akea Te-Lan Hall Chock (born July 2, 1992) is an American ice dancer. With her skating partner, Evan Bates, she is a 2022 Olympic team event silver medalist, a three-time World medalist (silver in 2015, bronze in 2016 and 2022), a four-time Grand Prix Final silver medalist ( 2014–15, 2015–16, 2019–20, 2022–23), a two-time Four Continents champions (2019, 2020), and a three-time U.S. national champion (2015, 2020, 2022). She is a three-time Olympian, having represented the United States at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympics. The 2020–21 ISU World Standings and Season's World Ranking are the World Standings and Season's World Ranking published by the International Skating Union (ISU) during the 2020–21 season. The single & pair skating and ice dance World Standings take into account the results of the 2018–19, 2019–20, and 2020–21 seasons. The 2020–21 ISU Season's World Ranking is based on the results of the 2020–21 season only. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 World Championships was the only event to affect World Standings. The ISU determined that it would be unfair to award World Standing points at the Challenger Series and Grand Prix events in light of the vast difference in skaters' travel restrictions.
