Eurosport 1 is a French television sports network channel which is a division of Eurosport and a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery. Discovery took a 20% minority interest share in December 2012, and became majority shareholder in the Eurosport venture with TF1 in January 2014, taking a 51% share of the company, On 22 July 2015 Discovery agreed to acquire TF1's remaining 49% stake in the venture. The channel is available in 73 countries, in 21 languages providing viewers with European and international sporting events. Eurosport first launched on European satellites on 5 February 1989. DMAX is a British free-to-air male-oriented TV channel in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Discovery launched the channel in the UK and Ireland market on 8 January 2008 after its initial success in Germany. On 16 July 2015, DMAX moved from 144 to 167 on Sky, switching places with sister channel Quest. Discovery History is a British channel with programming about history from Warner Bros. Discovery. History The channel was initially known as the Discovery Civilisation Channel, later dropping 'Channel' from the name, and was devoted to documentaries regarding history and civilizations, historic, ancient or present, launched on Sky Digital on 1 October 1998. On 1 November 2007, Discovery Civilisation was re-branded as Discovery Knowledge, by Heavenly.
