European Christian Political Movement
The European Christian Political Movement (ECPM) is the only European political party explicitly working on promoting Christian values. The party unites national parties and individuals from across Europe who share policies influenced by Christianity, largely following the ideals of Christian democracy. The member parties are generally more socially conservative and Eurosceptic. The party was founded in November 2002 in Lakitelek, Hungary. It elected its first board in January 2005, and was registered in the Netherlands in September 2005. The first ECPM president was Peeter Võsu of the Party of Estonian Christian Democrats. The movement brings together over fifty Christian-Democratic political parties, NGOs, think-tanks and individual politicians from over twenty countries within EU and beyond. Christian values historically refers to values derived from the teachings of Jesus Christ. The term has various applications and meanings, and specific definitions can vary widely between denominations, geographical locations and different schools of thought. Alliance C – Christians For Germany
Alliance C – Christians for Germany (german: Bündnis C – Christen für Deutschland) is a political party in Germany. History At the founding party conference in Fulda in March 2015, the Party for Labour, Environment and Family (AUF) and Party of Bible-abiding Christians (PBC) merged to form Alliance C – Christians for Germany – AUF & PBC. Ole Steffes (formerly PBC) and Karin Heepen (formerly AUF) were elected Federal Chairmen with equal rights. The party stood for the first time in the state election in Baden-Württemberg in 2016 and achieved 0.7% in the state constituency of Enz. Arne Gericke
Arne Gericke (born 19 November 1964 in Hamburg) is a German politician who was formerly a Member of the European Parliament. Elected for the Family Party of Germany in the 2014 election, he left in 2017 to join the Free Voters. After 15 months with the Free Voters, he left to join the minor conservative Christian party Bündnis C. At the European level, while he was a member of the Free voters he was also technically a member of the European Democratic Party, however he has always remained affiliated with the European Christian Political Movement and sat with the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group in the European Parliament. Bastiaan "Bas" Belder (born 25 October 1946) is a Dutch politician and former Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from the Netherlands. He is a member of the Staatkundig Gereformeerde Partij, part of the European Conservatives and Reformists. He sat on the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs. Peter van Dalen (born 3 September 1958) is a Dutch politician serving as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since 2009. He is a member of the Christian Union, which used to be part of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR), but switched to the European People's Party (EPP) in 2019 following the accession of the far-right Forum for Democracy. Pre-political career Van Dalen was educated at the Develstein College, in Zwijndrecht, and studied History and International Relations at Utrecht University. The Party of Estonian Christian Democrats (''Erakond Eesti Kristlikud Demokraadid''), formerly known as the Estonian Christian People's Party (''Eesti Kristlik Rahvapartei'') was a political party in Estonia, which is not represented in the Riigikogu (parliament). Peeter Võsu (born 9 March 1958, in Tallinn) is international Secretary of the Estonian Christian Democratic Party, chairman of Estonian Christian Television, chairman of the Estonian branch of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, and board member of the Evangelical Alliance of Estonia and YWAM Estonia.
