Eugene Turner

He also coached professionally for 60 years, skated in films and authored skating works. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where he graduated from John Marshall High School, and spent most of his life and career in Northern California. Skating career Turner won the men's singles title at the 1940 and 1941 United States Figure Skating Championships. Also in 1941, he became the first skater to medal in three disciplines at one U.S. Championship, adding the pairs title with Donna Atwood and the silver medal in ice dancing with Elizabeth Kennedy. Iceland (film)
''Iceland'' (1942) is a 20th Century Fox musical film directed by H. Bruce Humberstone set in Iceland, starring skater Sonja Henie and John Payne as a U.S. Marine posted in Iceland during World War II. The film was titled ''Katina'' in Great Britain and ''Marriage on Ice'' in Australia. Fox reteamed their two leads and director from the previous year's musical '' Sun Valley Serenade'' and set the story in the then contemporary American Marine landing and occupation of Iceland in 1941. Payne had previously played a Marine in Fox's '' To the Shores of Tripoli'' also directed by Humberstone. Among the songs are " There Will Never Be Another You" and "You Can't Say No to a Soldier". Some Icelanders protested against the film for its depiction of Marines winning away the local women. Timothy Tuttle "Tim" Brown (July 24, 1938 – September 14, 1989) was an American former figure skater. He won the silver medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships four times and twice captured the silver at the World Figure Skating Championships. He also competed at the 1960 Winter Olympics. In 1961, he earned another berth to the World Championships but did not make the trip due to illness, a move that was fortunate for him, as the entire U.S. Figure Skating team was killed en route to the competition when Sabena Flight 548 crashed near Brussels. Dudley Richards
Dudley "Dud" Shaw Richards (February 4, 1932 – February 15, 1961) was an American figure skater who competed in men's singles and pairs. In singles, he won the bronze medal at the 1953 United States Figure Skating Championships and finished sixth at that year's World Figure Skating Championships. In pairs, he once skated with future Olympic gold medalist Tenley Albright, before later teaming up with Maribel Owen. After winning the bronze medal at Nationals in 1958 and 1959, the pair captured the silver in 1960 and finished tenth at that year's Winter Olympic Games. In 1961, Owen and Richards won the gold medal at the U.S. Championships and finished second at the North American Figure Skating Championships. Allen Schramm (born 1961) is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 1978 Nebelhorn Trophy champion, 1978 Grand Prix International St. Gervais champion, 1979 Prague Skate silver medalist, and 1980 NHK Trophy bronze medalist. ''Hit the Ice'' is a 1943 film starring the comedy team of Abbott and Costello and their first film directed by Charles Lamont. Lamont later directed the team's last few films in the 1950s. Plot Two sidewalk photographers, Tubby McCoy and Flash Fulton, aspire to work for the local newspaper. Their childhood friend, Dr. Bill Burns, invites them to come along on a call to a building fire.
