The largest ethnic groups are: Vietnamese people, Vietnamese 85.32%, Tay people, Tay 1.92%, Thai people in Vietnam, Thái 1.89%, Muong people, Mường 1.51%, Hmong people, Hmong 1.45%, Khmer Krom, Khmer 1.37%, Nùng people, Nùng 1.13%, Dao people, Dao 0.93%, Hoa people, Hoa 0.78%, with all others comprising the remaining 3.7% (2019 census). The Vietnamese term for minority ethnic groups are ''người thiểu số'' and ''dân tộc ít người'' (minority people). |
