Club Estudiantes de La Plata ( lit. "Students from La Plata"), simply referred to as Estudiantes de La Plata , is an Argentine professional sports club based in La Plata. The club's football team currently competes in the Primera División, where it has spent most of its history. The club is a successful team in Argentina. In 1967, Estudiantes was the first team outside the traditional " big five" to win a professional league title. It has won four additional league titles and has had greater international success, having won six international titles. Estudiantes' international title championships are four Copa Libertadores (including three straight from 1968 to 1970), an Intercontinental Cup, and an Interamerican Cup. Asociación Atlética Estudiantes (usually known as Estudiantes de Río Cuarto) is a sports club located in the city of Río Cuarto, Córdoba Province (Argentina). Although many sports are practised at the club, it is mostly known for its football team, which currently plays in the Primera Nacional, the 2nd level of the Argentine football league system. Club Atlético Estudiantes is an amateur Argentine sports club from Paraná, Entre Ríos. Altamira Fútbol Club, or Estudiantes de Altamira (previously known as Estudiantes de Santander) was a Mexican football team that was based in Altamira, Tamaulipas. History On July 12, 2001, the expansion club ''Estudiantes de Santander'' announced an open try-out that was attended by hundreds of youths in Tamaulipas, wishing to form part of the club that would begin play in the Segunda División de México (Second Division). The club was officially founded on August 11, 2001. Tecos Fútbol Club (often referred to by its nickname "Tecos") is a Mexican professional football club associated with the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara AC. Estudiantes Tecos Reserves is the newest brand of soccer for Estudiantes Tecos. They play in the newly formed Campeonato Sub-20 y Sub-17 de México. On April 14, 2012 Estudiantes Tecos was relegated to Ascenso MX. On May 22, 2014, Grupo Pachuca president, Jesús Martínez Patiño, announced Estudiantes Tecos would change its location and move to Zacatecas. On May 28, 2014 the move was confirmed, the club changed its name to Mineros de Zacatecas, and Estudiantes Tecos were dissolved, but still has a team in Second Division.
