Esra Özatay (born 1976) is a Turkish female military officer and aviator. She is the commander of the military aerobatics fleet. Private life Özatay was born in 1976 in Germany. In 1993, she graduated from Kadıköy Girls High School and finished her education at the Turkish Air Force Academy in 1998. She is married to a fighter pilot, and has a son Batuhan (born 1996) and a daughter Zeynep (born 1998). Princess Qhabl Begum Sahiba Esra Birgen (born 1936) is a princess belonging to the Asaf Jah Dynasty of Hyderabad state by marriage. She was married to Prince Mukarram Jah. Princess Esra is a princess by marriage, not by birth. She is credited with the restoration of the Chowmahalla and Falaknuma palaces. Esra Yıldız (born 4 July 1997) is a Turkish amateur boxer who won a bronze medal in the lightweight division at the 2016 European Championships. She was named as a competitor for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Personal life Yıldız was born in Nevşehir, Turkey in 1997. Esra Mungan is a Turkish academic and Associate Professor of Psychology at Boğaziçi University who was arrested in 2016 for signing the Academics for Peace petition "We won’t be a party to this crime!" demanding a peaceful solution to the conflict between the Turkish military and Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in South-East Turkey. Mungan was among the 1128 signatories of a January 2016 petition calling for an end to violence in the region. In March 2016 she was arrested for a month.
