Erroll Collins (pseudonym of Ellen Edith Hannah Redknap, 15 April 1906 – 11 March 1991) was a British writer active during the 1940s, specialising in adventure and science fiction for boys. Ellen Redknap wrote under several other names. Life Collins was born Ellen Edith Hannah Redknap in 1906 in Shadwell, London, the eldest of four children and daughter of Frederick Redknap (1887–1950), a master-plumber. As a child she set such a good example to her younger siblings, she was called "Goody Two Shoes" and as such by many in the family, in the last years of her life, she was known and addressed as Auntie Goody. As a child she had been an excellent pianist, but never played again after the death of her mother in 1934. Erroll Canute Fraser (July 30, 1950 – December 24, 2002) was an ice speed skater from the British Virgin Islands, who represented his native country at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia at the age of 33. There he finished in 40th (500 m) and 42nd place (1.000 m), in the nation's first-ever appearance at the Winter Olympics. Fraser is believed to be the only black speed skater in the twentieth century to compete at the Winter Games. Erroll Louis Garner (June 15, 1921 – January 2, 1977) was an American jazz pianist and composer known for his swing playing and ballads. His instrumental ballad " Misty", his best-known composition, has become a jazz standard. It was first recorded in 1956 with Mitch Miller and his orchestra, and played a prominent part in the motion picture ''Play Misty for Me''. Scott Yanow of Allmusic calls him "one of the most distinctive of all pianists" and a "brilliant virtuoso." He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6363 Hollywood Blvd. His live album ''Concert by the Sea'' first released in 1955, sold over 1 million copies by 1958, and Yanow's opinion on the album is that it "made such a strong impression that Garner was considered immortal from then on." Erroll Suvo Chunder Sen (13 March 1899 – after December 1941?) was an Indian pilot who served in the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force during the First World War, and who was among the first Indian military aviators. Family and early life Sen was born in Calcutta to an Indian father and English mother. His grandfather was the philosopher and social reformer Keshab Chandra Sen; and his aunt was Suniti Devi, the Maharani of Cooch Behar. At an early age, he moved with his mother, brother and sister to England. He was educated at Rossall School in Fleetwood, Lancashire, where he joined its unit of the Officers' Training Corps.
