Empirion
Empirion are a United Kingdom, British industrial dance band from Essex, England. They were formed in 1993, and the original line-up consisted of Austin Morsely, Bob Glennie and Jamie Smart. Beginnings Smart was a resident Disc jockey, DJ at the Essex nightclubs, Oscars in Clacton-on-Sea, Clacton and TooToo's in Frating. He provided the vehicle for the band to release their music through their own record label, Wanted Records, and later went on to support The Prodigy. Morsely and Glennie met on the local rave scene. They had both been playing around with basic music equipment for a few years, and came together when Morsley purchased a Roland W-30 synthesiser which eventually spawned the track, "Narcotic Influence". The track was released and distributed by the band in November 1993 and, initially pressing 500 copies on Vinyl record, vinyl, it went on to sell nearly 5,000 copies. KLOQ (band)
KLOQ (pronounced "clock") is an electronic rock band that was formed in Chelmsford, Essex in 2005 by Oz Morsley of Empirion. The current lineup is Dean Goodwin (Vocals), Oz Morsley (Keys, Electronics), Tim Jackson (Bass), and Chris Jacobs (Drums). Kloq has released two studio albums: ''Move Forward'' (2008) and ''Begin Again'' (2013). The band's music and sound have evolved through many genres over the years including Trance music, trance, Electronic body music, EBM, electro-industrial, alternative rock, punk rock and electronic rock. History Pre-Kloq (1993-2010) Oz's first project was electro-acid band Empirion. Having a major hit with the 12" acid house anthem "Narcotic Influence" Oz and Empirion were Signed by XL Recordings and enjoyed relative commercial success. Empirion worked closely with The Prodigy, joining them on one of their tours of Europe and also re-mixing the No. 1 hit Firestarter (The Prodigy song), Firestarter.
