Emirates Crown
Emirates Crown is a 63-floor residential tower in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, developed by Bin Shafar Holding and designed by Design & Architecture Bureau. The tower has a structural height of 296 m (971 ft). Construction of the Emirates Crown began in 2005, and was completed in 2008. Upon completion, it stood as the sixth-tallest building in Dubai, and 45th-tallest building in the world. As of 2022, it is the 26th-tallest building in Dubai. Two to five bedroom apartments can be found in the building, as well as some of the most prominent penthouses in Dubai. The amenities include a gymnasium, sauna, Jacuzzi, kids club, swimming pool, steam room and private storage. Total prize money is A$3,000,000 History The race was moved in 2016 to the first day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival ( Victoria Derby Day) from the last day. This was swapped with the LKS Mackinnon Stakes, which is now the feature race on the last day of the carnival. Emirates Cup
The Emirates Cup is a pre-season association football invitational competition hosted by English club Arsenal at their home ground, Emirates Stadium, in Highbury, London. The two-day competition was inaugurated in 2007 and is named after Arsenal's main sponsor, Emirates. It has been held every summer except 2012 due to the London Olympics, 2016 because of pitch renovation work, 2018 because of stadium building work, and 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition in its first decade followed a point scoring system much like the Amsterdam Tournament, whereby each team played two matches, with three points awarded for a win, one point for a draw and none for a loss. An additional point is awarded for every goal scored; this was scrapped in 2011, but made a return from the 2013 edition. The Emirates Towers ( ar, أبراج الإمارات) is a building complex in Dubai that contains the Emirates Office Tower and Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, which are connected by a two-story retail complex known as "The Boulevard".
