Elton Brown (basketball)
Elton Brown (born September 15, 1983) is an American former professional basketball player who last played for SLUC Nancy Basket of the LNB Pro A. He is a 6'9" (2.06 m) center from Newport News, Virginia. College career Brown played college basketball at the University of Virginia. Majoring in Anthropology he ranked 20th in all-time scoring, and Top 10 in rebounding. He was a 3-year starter and first team All-Rookie. During his junior and senior years, he was awarded the All-ACC Honorable Mention with an average of 14.8 points and 8 rebounds as a junior and 12 points and 8 rebounds as a senior. Professional career Brown began his pro career in the Greek League with Makedonikos Kozani in the 2005–06 season, where he led the Greek League in rebounding and was the only player in the league to average a double-double for the season. Indios De Mayagüez (basketball)
Indios de Mayagüez is a Puerto Rico professional basketball team. The team plays in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). The Indios play their home games in the Palacio de Recreación y Deportes since 1981. The franchise first entered the league in 1956, and Mayagüez has been its home city for all but five of the team's active seasons given that the franchise has gone through several hiatuses in its history. Along with the Atléticos de San Germán, the Indians have been the only BSN team permanently based in the western part of Puerto Rico, after the Tiburones de Aguadilla relocated to Santurce and became the Cangrejeros de Santurce in 1998. Makedonikos B.C. (Greek: Μακεδονικός K.A.E.) is a Greek professional basketball club. The club is located in Neapoli, Thessaloniki, Greece. The parent athletic club was founded in 1928, and the basketball department was founded in 1948. Makedonikos means "Macedonian" in Greek. The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B. The winner of the play-offs of the Pro A is crowned the French national champion. Competition format All 16 Pro A League teams play each other twice during the regular season. The D-League was founded in 2001 as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) and later as the NBA Development League.
