Hurricane Elsa was the earliest-forming fifth named storm on record in the Atlantic Ocean, surpassing Edouard of the previous year, and was the first hurricane of the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season. Elsa the lioness ( 28 January 195624 January 1961) was a female lion raised along with her sisters "Big One" and "Lustica" by game warden George Adamson and his wife Joy Adamson after they were orphaned at only a few days old. Though her two sisters eventually went to the Netherlands' Rotterdam Zoo, Elsa was trained by the Adamsons to survive on her own, and was eventually released into the wild. Her story is told in several books by the Adamsons, as well as the 1966 motion picture '' Born Free''. Life Elsa and her sisters were orphaned on 1 February 1956 after George Adamson was forced to kill their mother when she charged him, in defence of her three cubs. ''Elsa'' is the debut album of the French singer Elsa Lunghini, released in 1988. Background and critical reception After the success of her first two singles, " T'en va pas", which peaked at #1 for eight weeks on the official singles chart (Top 50), and " Quelque chose dans mon cœur", #2 hit, Elsa decided to release her first album. In it, there are collaborations with Didier Barbelivien, Élisabeth Anaïs for texts, and her father (Georges Lunghini) for compositions. Georges also co-signed ten of the eleven songs on the album. In the French TV program ''Sacrée Soirée'' compered by Jean-Pierre Foucault, Elsa met Glenn Medeiros, which generated the duet " Un Roman d'amitié (Friend Give Me a Reason)". Elsa (; minor planet designation: 182 Elsa) is a Massalia or background asteroid from the inner regions of the asteroid belt, approximately in diameter. It was discovered on 7 February 1878, by Austrian astronomer Johann Palisa at the Austrian Naval Observatory in today's Croatia. The S-type asteroid has a very long rotation period of 80 hours and likely an elongated shape. The origin of its name is uncertain. Orbit and classification ''Elsa'' is a member of the Massalia family (), a very large inner belt asteroid family consisting of stony asteroids. Elsa, Yukon
Elsa is a former privately owned mining town in the Canadian territory of Yukon, between the Stewart River valley to the south and the Mackenzie Mountains to the north. It is located at Kilometre 97 (Mile ) of the Silver Trail, approximately north of Whitehorse and east of the Alaskan border. History The town was built in 1935 by the mining company Treadwell Yukon to support the development of a new mill for the nearby deposits of silver, lead, and zinc. Treadwell's assets were purchased by United Keno Hill Mines (UKHM) in 1946, and by the 1950s UKHM was the second largest producer of silver in Canada and the fourth largest in the world. At its peak in the 1960s, Elsa was home to 600 UKHM employees and their families. Due to economic pressure from decreases in the price of silver in the late 1970s, United Keno Hill Mines ceased operations in Elsa in 1989.
