Elam Ending
The Elam Ending is a rules format for basketball. Unlike traditional basketball rules, in which the game is played with four timed quarters, with the Elam Ending format, teams end the game by playing to a target score. A variation used by the NBA G League implements the Elam Ending in games that go into overtime. Developed by and named for Nick Elam, a professor at Ball State University, the Elam Ending was first used by The Basketball Tournament in 2017. The Elam Ending received widespread attention in 2020 when it was chosen as the format for the NBA All-Star Game. The concept has since been adapted for soccer. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. Jamil Wilson (born November 21, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for Club Nacional de Football of the Uruguayan Liga Uruguaya de Básquetbol (LUB). He played college basketball for the University of Oregon and Marquette University. High school career Wilson attended Horlick High School in Racine, Wisconsin. Seven-a-side football is one of the minifootball variations of football, which is played among seven players in each team. In the game consists of one goalkeeper and six outfield players. The pitch of seven-a-side football is bigger than the five-a-side football, ranging from 50-65 yards in length and 25-50 yards in width respectively. 2022–23 NBA G League Season
The 2022–23 NBA G League season is the 22nd season of the NBA G League, the minor league basketball league of the National Basketball Association (NBA). For the second consecutive season, the schedule will be split into two parts: the 18-game Showcase Cup which began on November 4, 2022, followed by a 32-game regular season which tips off on December 27. The NBA G League Finals will happen in April 2023. Structure The Showcase Cup began on November 4, 2022, and it will end with a single-elimination tournament to crown a champion at the G League's Winter Showcase from December 19 to 22. During the Showcase Cup, teams are separated into four regional pods and play 16 games against one another in each respective NBA G League markets. 2021 CEBL Season
The 2021 CEBL season was the third season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). It began on June 24, 2021. The CEBL planned to have fans at the home arenas, depending on the situation of the pandemic but would have had regional bubbles if needed. On June 10, 2021, the league announced that teams would be playing at their home arenas, but fans are still dependant on the provincial governments. On June 21, 2021, the league announced the playoffs would start on August 14, where four teams will play for two spots in the Championship Weekend. The final two spots will be filled in by the top team in the league and by the host team, Edmonton Stingers. The Championship Weekend will be held from August 18 to 22. Starting July 21, all seven teams were allowed to bring some amount of fans (either full capacity or limited) to the home games. 2020 CEBL Season
The 2020 CEBL season was the second season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). It was played from July 25 to August 9 at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. The season was scheduled to take place from May 7 to August 6, with the championship being played in Edmonton from August 14 to 16. On April 15, the season was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A shortened 2020 season tournament, branded as the CEBL Summer Series, was held at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines. A single round robin was played to eliminate one team, followed by a six-team single-elimination playoff. All games were played behind closed doors with no spectators admitted.
