Eidola (band)
Eidola is an American rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah, formed in 2011. The band consists of lead vocalist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Wells, guitarist Sergio Medina, bass guitarist James Johnson, guitarist and unclean vocalist Matthew Dommer, and drummer Matthew Hansen. They self-released their debut studio album, ''The Great Glass Elephant'', in 2012. The group signed to Blue Swan Records in 2014 and released their second and third albums, ''Degeneraterra'' (2015) and ''To Speak, To Listen'' (2017). In December 2017, lead guitarist Brandon Bascom left the band and was replaced by Royal Coda guitarist Sergio Medina. The band released the single "Counterfeit Shrines" in June 2021, their first new song in over four years, and released their fourth studio album, '' The Architect'' in September on Blue Swan Records and Rise Records. Post-rock
Post-rock is a form of experimental rock characterized by a focus on exploring textures and timbre over traditional rock song structures, chords, or riffs. Post-rock artists are often instrumental, typically combining rock instrumentation with electronics. The genre emerged within the indie and underground music scene of the 1980s and early 1990s. However, due to its abandonment of rock conventions, it often bears little resemblance musically to contemporary indie rock, borrowing instead from diverse sources including ambient, electronica, jazz, krautrock, dub, and minimalist classical. Artists such as Talk Talk and Slint have been credited with producing foundational works in the style in the early 1990s. The Ongoing Concept
The Ongoing Concept is a metal band from Rathdrum, Idaho, formed by three brothers and their childhood friend in 2009. They released an independent EP in 2010 entitled ''What Is My Destiny'', an independent EP in 2011, ''Arrows Before Bullets'', and studio albums '' Saloon'' (2013), '' Handmade'' (2015), and ''Places'' (2017) through their label Solid State Records. Background The band started in 2009 in Rathdrum, Idaho, while the members were in high school. Except for Parker (who graduated in 2015), all of the members have graduated from Lakeland High School. A Lot Like Birds was an American post-hardcore band formed in Sacramento, California. The band released four albums and received considerable media attention from music sites. Since the release of 2011's ''Conversation Piece'', A Lot Like Birds signed to Equal Vision Records and released their third studio album on October 29, 2013. The band announced their final show on their Facebook page on February 17, 2018. Joe Lancaster (born 14 September 1990) is the former bassist of metalcore band With One Last Breath and rock band Asking Alexandria. He currently plays second trumpet with New York Brass Band, a New Orleans style Brass Band from York. Personal life Lancaster is currently studying music at Leeds College of Music. Chon (sometimes stylized as CHON) was an American progressive rock and math rock band from Oceanside, California. Their music is largely instrumental with only a few songs containing vocal performances. The band consists of Mario Camarena (guitar), Erick Hansel (guitar), Esiah Camarena (bass) and Nathan Camarena (drums). History Early career In 2008, they began releasing demos via the internet.
