Efraim Halevy
Efraim Halevy ( he, אפרים הלוי; born 2 December 1934) is an Israeli intelligence expert and diplomat. He was the 9th director of Mossad and the 3rd head of the Israeli National Security Council. He is known for his part in bringing about the Israel–Jordan peace treaty. The special relationship he developed with King Hussein of Jordan made it possible for Halevy to open Jordan to the awareness that only a peace agreement with Israel would extricate the Hashemite kingdom from the crisis after the Gulf War. Early life and education Halevy was born in London, United Kingdom to an established Orthodox Jewish family on 2 December 1934. His uncle was Sir Isaiah Berlin. Halevy emigrated to Israel in 1948. Uzi Dayan
Aluf (Major General, res.) Uzi Dayan (, born January 4, 1948) is a former general in the Israel Defense Forces and an Israeli politician. He served as a member of the Knesset for Likud from 2020 to 2021. Biography Uzi Dayan is a nephew of Moshe Dayan, grandson of Shmuel Dayan and cousin of Assi Dayan, Yael Dayan and Yehonatan Geffen. His father, Zorik, was killed in the Battle of Ramat Yohanan in April of the year he was born. His mother Mimi remarried in March 1950 after having met Moshe Rabinovitch in Rome the previous summer. The Roadmap for peace or road map for peace ( he, מפת הדרכים ''Mapa had'rakhim'', ''Khāriṭa ṭarīq as-salāmu'') was a plan to resolve the Israeli–Palestinian conflict proposed by the Quartet on the Middle East: the United States, the European Union, Russia and the United Nations. The principles of the plan, originally drafted by U.S. Foreign Service Officer Donald Blome, were first outlined by U.S. President George W. Dov Weissglas ( he, דב ויסגלס; born 4 October 1946) is an Israeli lawyer and businessman who was involved in the Middle East peace process during the term of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Biography Dov Weissglas was born in Tel Aviv to an affluent family and grew up in Ramat Gan. After graduating from the Ohel Shem high school, he served in the Israel Defense Forces, and began studying law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem at age 19. Legal career After graduating with an LLB and interning at the Tel Aviv District Court, he received a law license in 1971. That same year, he began working at the Tel Aviv law firm Moritz & Margolis. Khaled Mashal
Khaled Mashal ( ar, خالد مشعل, Khālid Mashʿal, Levantine Arabic: , born 28 May 1956) is a former leader of the Palestinian organization Hamas. After the founding of Hamas in 1987, Mashal became the leader of the Kuwaiti branch of the organization. In 1992, he became a founding member of Hamas' politburo and its chairman. He became the recognized head of Hamas after Israel assassinated both Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and his successor Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi in the spring of 2004.
