Edward Martin Dahl (3 August 1886, in Bromma – 21 November 1961) was a Swedish athlete. He competed in the 1906 Intercalated Games in Athens and in the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. At the Intercalated Games in 1906 he won the bronze medal in the 5 miles competition. He also participated in the 1500 metres event. In 1908 Dahl placed second in his semifinal heat of the 1500 metres with a time of 4:10.4, not advancing to the final. Louis Bonniot de Fleurac (''Louis Victor Marie Bonniot de Fleurac;'' 19 November 1876 in Paris – 20 March 1965) was a French athlete. John Svanberg
Johan Frithiof Isidor "John" Svanberg (1 May 1881 – 11 September 1957) was a Swedish runner. He competed in the 5 miles and marathon at the 1906 Intercalated Games and 1908 Summer Olympics and won two silver and one bronze medals. In 1908 he set a world record over 3000 m that stood until 1911. After the 1908 Olympics Svanberg was deprived of his amateur status for some commercial activities. He moved to the United States, where he worked as a painter and continued competing in running. He died in New York in 1957. The men's 800 metres made its fourth Olympic appearance at the 1908 Summer Olympics. The competition was held on July 20, 1908, and on July 21, 1908. The races were held on a track of 536.45 metres= mile in circumference. It was run in two rounds, with the winners of the eight heats of the first round competing in the final. 38 runners from eleven nations competed. NOCs could enter up to 12 athletes.Official report, p. 32. The event was won by Mel Sheppard of the United States, the nation's second consecutive title in the 800 metres. Sheppard also completed the middle distance double, having won gold in the 1500 metres earlier.
