Easley High School
Easley High School (EHS) is a public high school in Easley, South Carolina, founded in 1909. The original auditorium is on the National Register of Historic Places. History The school was built on Russell street in 1909, then relocated to a new building in 1938. The 1909 building, which is noted as an early example of steel-beam construction, is on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2008, construction began on a new building to replace the 1938 facility. In 1923, the school won the first state championship in livestock judging. In 1983 it was determined that asbestos levels in the cafeteria posed a serious threat to the health of students and faculty. In 1986 a fund-raising drive raised $186,000 to renovate the auditorium. In 2006, it was reported that the school faced the possibility of staffing problems, with over 40% of existing staff eligible for retirement within five years. Easley, South Carolina
Easley is a city in Pickens County, South Carolina, Pickens County (with parts extending into Anderson County, South Carolina, Anderson County) in the U.S. state, State of South Carolina. Most of the city lies in Pickens County, with a small portion of the city in Anderson County. In 2001, Easley hosted the Big League World Series for the first time, and continued to host the tournament annually until it was disbanded in 2016. Kimberly Nicole Hampton (August 18, 1976 – January 2, 2004) was a captain in the United States Army and the first female military pilot in United States history to be shot down and killed as a result of hostile fire. After '' The State'' in Columbia and Charleston's ''The Post and Courier'', it is the third largest paper in South Carolina. John Windham
John Windham (born June 23, 1964) is an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at Sewanee: The University of the South from 1996 to 2006, compiling a record of 45–61. Windham was the defensive coordinator Colorado College from 1990 to 1995, Gardner–Webb University from 2007 to 2010, and Furman University from 2011 to 2014. He most recently served as the head football coach at Easley High School in Easley, South Carolina, where he tallied of mark of 20–23 in four seasons before resigning in November 2018. Christopher H. Long (born June 6, 1968) is a college basketball coach. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1991 with a degree in advertising and from Alcorn State University in 1997 with a master's degree in school administration. Long served as the head girls' basketball coach at Vicksburg High School from 1997 to 1999 while compiling a 46–19 record. Stanley Douglas Morgan (born February 17, 1955) is an American former football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts.
