Earl Bamber
Earl Anderson Bamber (born 9 July 1990) is a professional racing driver from New Zealand, currently competing as a factory driver for Porsche Motorsport in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTLM class. He is the 2014 Porsche Supercup and double Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion. He has also won the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice, having won in 2015 with Nico Hülkenberg and Nick Tandy and 2017 with Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley. The latter trio was also joint winner of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship for Drivers. Early life Earl Bamber was born in Whanganui, New Zealand, to Paul and Maureen Bamber (née Johnson), and lived on a farm where he learned to drive in the small settlement of Jerusalem on the Whanganui River. Daytona International Speedway is a race track in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. Since opening in 1959, it has been the home of the Daytona 500, the most prestigious race in NASCAR as well as its season opening event. 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix Season
The 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix season was the fourth and final season of the A1 Grand Prix formula. Ferrari supplied the engines for all entrants and advised on aspects of the chassis, based on its championship-winning F2004. A1 Team Ireland became the fourth A1GP champions, after a title battle which went down to the final round in Great Britain. Ireland won with 112 points, with team driver Adam Carroll taking five victories at Chengdu, Sepang, Taupo and the series finale at Brands Hatch during the shortened 14 race season. 2009 Euroseries 3000 Season
The 2009 Euroseries 3000 began on 16 May at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal and finished at Monza in Italy on 18 October after 14 races. In February, 2009, series organisers Coloni Motorsport announced that the first-generation A1 Grand Prix chassis, the Lola B05/52, would be introduced into the championship to replace the previous Lola B02/50 model. It was also announced that online gambling site PartyPoker.com became the title sponsor of the series for the next three years. As a result of the sponsorship deal, the winner of the drivers' championship won a free season in the GP2 Series for 2010. Formula BMW
Formula BMW was a junior racing formula for single seater cars. It was positioned at the bottom of the motorsport career ladder alongside the longer established Formula Ford category. Like Formula Ford, it was intended to function as the young kart racing graduate's first experience of car racing. The new formula was created by BMW Motorsport in 2001, with the first of its championships being inaugurated in Germany in 2002. The Formula Regional Oceania Championship is New Zealand's premier formula racing category. Formula V6 Asia
Formula Asia V6 Renault, renamed Formula V6 Asia in 2007 by Motorsport Asia, was launched in 2006 and regulated by Motorsport Asia. It was a Formula Renault 3.5 that include also World Series by Renault and the former Formula Renault V6 Eurocup. For the first time, Southeast Asian-based drivers were able to progress from karting, through the ranks of junior single seaters, and step up to a programme specifically designed to groom them for the pinnacle of international motorsport. International Formula Master, also known as Formula Super 2000, was a European-based junior single seater formula. The series was conceived as a competitor for Formula Three and made its debut at Valencia in 2007. European television channel Eurosport were backing the series and the series regularly supported the World Touring Car Championship during its European races. The championship started in 2005 as the 3000 Pro Series, organised by Peroni Promotion and based in Italy; it used Lola B99/50 chassis alongside 2002 cars. A1 Grand Prix (A1GP) was a "single-make" open-wheel auto racing series that ran from 2005 until 2009. It was unique in its field in that competitors solely represented their nation as opposed to themselves or a team, the usual format in most formula racing series.
