Emerging Market Debt
Emerging market debt (EMD) is a term used to encompass bonds issued by Less Developed Countries. It does not include borrowing from government, supranational organizations such as the IMF or private sources, though loans that are securitized and issued to the markets would be included. A broader discussion of all types of borrowing by developing countries exists at Developing countries' debt. Issuance Emerging market debt is primarily issued by sovereign issuers. Corporate debt does exist in this category, but corporations in developing countries generally tend to borrow from banks and other sources, as public debt issuance requires both sufficiently developed markets and large borrowing needs. In statistics, the earth mover's distance (EMD) is a measure of the distance between two probability distributions over a region ''D''. In mathematics, this is known as the Wasserstein metric. Informally, if the distributions are interpreted as two different ways of piling up a certain amount of earth (dirt) over the region ''D'', the EMD is the minimum cost of turning one pile into the other; where the cost is assumed to be the amount of dirt moved times the distance by which it is moved. EMD (band)
E.M.D. was a Swedish boyband consisting of Erik Segerstedt, Mattias Andréasson and Danny Saucedo. All three members had participated on the Swedish version of '' Idol'', with Erik as a finalist and Danny at 6th place on Idol 2006. Mattias was eliminated as the fourth runner-up on Idol 2007. Emerald Airport is an airport serving Emerald, a town located in the Central Highlands district of Queensland, Australia. It is located south of the Emerald town centre, on the Gregory Highway (Springsure Road). The airport is operated by the Central Highlands Regional Council. The Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) is an International Air Transport Association (IATA) standard for electronically documenting ancillary revenue; that is, all other sales and transactions between airlines and passengers besides electronic tickets.
