Everything (tour)
Everything was a 2024 solo concert tour by the English musician Thom Yorke. Yorke played a variety of music from his solo projects and his bands Radiohead, Atoms for Peace (band), Atoms for Peace and The Smile (band), the Smile. The tour encompassed Australia, Japan, New Zealand and Singapore, and comprised 18 shows between 23 October and 26 November. Background Yorke announced the tour on 2 June 2024. He said he would be "alone on stage trying a new kind of solo show thing playing versions of songs from my recent and not so recent past". Yorke said the tour was named "Everything" as to not put limits on songs he could play. The tour began on 25 October 2024 in Auckland, New Zealand. Two pop-up shops in Melbourne and Sydney opened in promotion of the tour, selling merchandise including vinyl records, shirts and posters. Thom Yorke
Thomas Edward Yorke (born 7 October 1968) is an English musician who is the vocalist and main songwriter of the rock band Radiohead. He plays guitar, bass, keyboards and other instruments, and is noted for his falsetto. ''Rolling Stone'' described Yorke as one of the greatest and most influential singers of his generation. Yorke formed Radiohead with schoolmates at Abingdon School in Oxfordshire. Unkle (often stylised as U.N.K.L.E. or UNKLE, occasionally known as UNKLE Sounds) is a British musical outfit founded in 1992 by James Lavelle. Originally categorised as trip hop, the group once included producer DJ Shadow and have employed a variety of guest artists and producers. History First incarnation (1992–1996) The first release credited to the 'Men from U.N.K.L.E' was a remix for United Future Organization, included on their 1992 ''Loud Minority'' single. ''The Eraser'' is the debut solo album by the English musician Thom Yorke, released on 10 July 2006 through XL Recordings. It was produced by Nigel Godrich, the longtime producer for Yorke's band Radiohead. Yorke wrote and recorded ''The Eraser'' during Radiohead's hiatus in 2004 and 2005. ''Tomorrow's Modern Boxes'' is the second studio album by the English musician Thom Yorke, released on 26 September 2014. It was produced by Nigel Godrich, with artwork by Stanley Donwood, both of whom have long collaborated with Yorke and his band Radiohead. The album blends Yorke's vocals and piano playing with electronic beats and textures. Yorke released ''Tomorrow's Modern Boxes'' independently via a paid-for BitTorrent bundle. Yorke and Godrich criticised the streaming service Spotify, saying it did not fairly compensate new artists, and expressed their wish to give "control of internet commerce back to people who are creating the work". ''Amnesiac'' is the fifth studio album by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 30 May 2001 by EMI. It was recorded with the producer Nigel Godrich in the same sessions as Radiohead's previous album '' Kid A'' (2000). Radiohead split the work in two as they felt it was too dense for a double album. As with ''Kid A, Amnesiac'' incorporates influences from electronic music, 20th-century classical music, jazz and krautrock. The final track, "Life in a Glasshouse", is a collaboration with the jazz trumpeter Humphrey Lyttelton and his band. ''In Rainbows'' is the seventh studio album by the English rock band Radiohead. It was self-released on 10 October 2007 as a download, followed by a retail release internationally through XL Recordings on 3 December 2007 and in North America through TBD Records on 1 January 2008. It was Radiohead's first release after their recording contract with EMI ended with their album '' Hail to the Thief'' (2003). Radiohead began work on ''In Rainbows'' in early 2005.
