''Everything You Always Wanted to Know About R. Stevie Moore But Were Afraid to Ask'' is the third official album by R. Stevie Moore, a double album compilation issued on vinyl in 1984 by New Rose Records of Paris, France. It was the first of four New Rose RSM albums to be released through the 1980s. Background It contains Moore's songs and sound experiments from Nashville TN and Montclair NJ sessions, all primarily recorded on 1/4 track 7Β½ ips reel-to-reel stereo tape decks. The name of the album is a homage to the 1972 movie Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid to Ask). Its title in French is ''"TOUT CE QUE VOUS AVEZ TOUJOURS VOULU SAVOIR SUR R. STEVIE MOORE ET QUE VOUS N'AVEZ JAMAIS OSER DEMANDER"''. New Rose
"New Rose" is the first single by British punk rock band the Damned. It was released on 22 October 1976 on Stiff Records, and in 1977 in the Netherlands, Germany and France. It is notable as the first ever single released by a British punk band. Written by guitarist Brian James, "New Rose" was also included on the group's full-length debut album, '' Damned Damned Damned''. The deadpan intro by singer Dave Vanian ("Is she really going out with him?") was taken from the 1964 Shangri-Las song " Leader of the Pack". The single's B-side is a cover of the Beatles' hit "Help!", performed about twice as fast as the original. Both songs became staples of the Damned's live shows, and appeared on various compilations. "New Rose" was reissued in Stiff's ''Damned 4 Pack'' mail-order set. Original copies had a press-out centre, while reissues had a solid centre. ''Delicate Tension'' is the second official album by American musician R. Stevie Moore, issued in a small pressing by his uncle Harry Palmer's H.P. Music in November 1978. The album is the follow-up to the compilation '' Phonography'' (1976). It mainly contains Moore's new songs and sound experiments captured since his recent move north from Nashville to New Jersey, all recorded on 1/4 track 7Β½ ips reel-to-reel stereo tape decks. The album cover was designed by Moore himself. "I Go Into Your Mind" was later remade and released on 2006's ''The Yung & Moore Show''. Reissues ''Delicate Tension'' was reissued on compact disc in July 2004 by Cordelia Records in the UK.
