Everybody Speaks Nonsenses II – Hot Pot () was a popular Taiwanese television sketch show, mainly focusing on topics related to Taiwanese politics. This show developed from Everybody Speaks Nonsenses. Its components parody several television broadcasts around the world, including a stock index analyst (as a political popularity index), Nazism (I "Love" Taiwan), and even the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. First broadcast in 2004 on cable television Chung T'ien Television (CtiTV), it has since gained prominence among Taiwanese viewers, and in January 2006 earned a mention by CNN's World Report on Taiwan-China relations. The show was succeeded by ''People's Party'' (全民最大黨). Sketch comedy comprises a series of short, amusing scenes or vignettes, called "sketches" or, "skits", commonly between one and ten minutes long, performed by a group of comic actors or comedians. While the form developed and became popular in music hall in Britain and vaudeville in North America, today it is used widely in variety shows, as well as in late night talk shows and even some sitcoms. Parody

The Taiwan Affairs Office is an administrative agency under the State Council of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Chung T'ien Television (CTi TV; ), is a nationwide cable TV network based in Taiwan. It belongs to Want Want China Times group, which also owns China Television (CTV). History Founded in 1994, CTi TV was originally called the Chinese Television Network (CTN; ). CTN had two main channels, Chung Tien () and Da Di (). The island of Taiwan is the subject of a geopolitical dispute between the Republic of China (ROC), which controls it, and the People's Republic of China (PRC), which claims it as part of its territory.
