European Association Of Conservatoires
The European Association of Conservatoires (AEC) is the main association of colleges and university schools of music in Europe and represents the interests of institutions that are concerned with training for the music profession. It is abbreviated to and commonly known as the AEC, initials of its original French name, the ''Association Européenne des Conservatoires''. Lately the name was extended to become the ''Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen'' hence officially including the German music academies too, an important part of the network. The AEC was established in 1953 and counts today (2022) about 300 member institutions in 57 countries, not all of them in Europe. Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
Royal Birmingham Conservatoire is a music school, drama school and concert venue in Birmingham, England. It provides education in music, acting, and related disciplines up to postgraduate level. It is a centre for scholarly research and doctorate-level study in areas such as performance practice, composition, musicology and music history. It is the only one of the nine conservatoires in the United Kingdom that is also part of a faculty of a university, in this case Arts, Design and Media at Birmingham City University. The Guildhall School of Music and Drama is a music school, music and drama school located in the City of London, England. Leeds Conservatoire (formerly known as The Leeds Music Centre, the City of Leeds College of Music, and Leeds College of Music) is a higher education music conservatoire based in the Quarry Hill district of Leeds, England. It was founded in 1965 by Joseph Stones. Aside from its education provision, which also includes short courses and programmes for adults and school-age musicians, Leeds Conservatoire hosts a seasonal programme of concerts, largely in its 350-seat auditorium 'The Venue'.
