Erwin Drèze
Erwin Drèze (27 November 1960 – 18 March 2020) was a Belgian comic book artist. Biography Drèze began his career at Studios Aidans and produced comic strips for the newspaper ''Vers future'' before switching to ''Tintin'' with the series ''Louis Valmont''. In the 1990s, he adapted the comic strip ''Arsène Lupine'' for André-Paul Duchâteau of Soleil Productions. In 2001, he met Jacques Martin, and together they developed the comic strips ''Lefranc'' (2006) and ''Les Voyages d'Alix'' (2008). André-Paul Duchâteau (8 May 1925 – 26 August 2020) was a Belgian comics writer and mystery novelist. Biography He worked with Tibet on the detective comics series ''Ric Hochet'' and the more humoristic western comic ''Chick Bill''. He also wrote under the pseudonym Michel Vasseur. Duchâteau additionally wrote several detective novels and radio plays. As a dramatist he is most famous for his play ''5 à 7 Avec La Mort'' (1960), which has been adapted into various media. Soleil Productions is a French publisher of both original and imported comic books. History Soleil was founded in 1989 in Toulouse by Mourad Boudjellal. Soleil quickly became known as a publisher of cartoons and parodies such as Rahan, Blek le Roc et Tarzan. It soon went into the heroic fantasy. In the 1994, it picked up and published the ''Lanfeust'' comic series. Jacques Martin (comics)
Jacques Martin (; 25 September 1921 – 21 January 2010) was a French comics artist and comic book creator. He was one of the classic artists of ''Tintin'' magazine, alongside Edgar P. Jacobs and Hergé, of whom he was a longtime collaborator. He is best known for his series '' Alix''. He was born in Strasbourg. Biography After pursuing engineering studies as a young man, Jacques Martin began in 1942 to draw his first comic stories. In 1946, following the end of the War, he travelled through Belgium in search of an editor for his work. Soon afterwards he met Georges Remi (aka Hergé) with whom he collaborated on several albums of ''The Adventures of Tintin'' (and more specifically on ''Tintin in Tibet'' and ''The Red Sea Sharks'') while working on his own albums.
