Erik Goeddel
Erik Van Norman Goeddel (born December 20, 1988) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets, Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers. Career Amateur career Goeddel attended Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, California, where ''Baseball America'' and Perfect Game USA ranked him the third-best high school baseball prospect in the United States and Canada. After going undrafted in the 2007 Major League Baseball draft, Goeddel enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he played college baseball for the UCLA Bruins. Collegiate Summer Baseball
Collegiate summer baseball leagues are amateur baseball leagues in the United States and Canada featuring players who have attended at least one year of college and have at least one year of athletic eligibility remaining. Generally, they operate from early June to early August. In contrast to college baseball, which allow aluminum or other composite baseball bats, players in these leagues use only wooden bats, hence the common nickname of these leagues as "wood-bat leagues". Collegiate summer leagues allow college baseball players the ability to compete using professional rules and equipment, giving them experience and allowing professional scouts the opportunity to observe players under such conditions. Daniel Joseph Muno (born February 9, 1989) is an American former professional baseball infielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets in 2015. Amateur career Prior to playing professionally, he attended Loyola High School and then California State University, Fresno. As a freshman with Fresno State, he hit .332 with 62 runs in 77 games, was named Freshman of the Year and helped lead Fresno State to victory in the 2008 College World Series. He batted .379 with 25 doubles and 74 runs in 62 games as a sophomore. He was named All-Western Athletic Conference at second base. Jenrry Mejía
Jenrry Manuel Mejía (; born October 11, 1989) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Saraperos de Saltillo of the Mexican League. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets. Mejía signed with the Mets as an international free agent on April 4, 2007. He made his MLB debut in 2010 and was named the Mets' closer in May 2014. Mejía was suspended for the first 80 games of the 2015 season after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs (PED). He received his second suspension in July 2015 after a second failed test. He tested positive for a third time, which was reported in February 2016, resulting in his permanent suspension from MLB. The Savannah Sand Gnats were a minor league baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia. They were a member of the A-level South Atlantic League.
