Ennepetal
Ennepetal (, ; ) is a town in the district of Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was created in 1949 out of the former municipalities Milspe and Voerde. It was named after the river Ennepe, which flows through the municipality. The town was featured in the headlines when on April 12, 2005, a hostage taker snatched several school children from a school bus, and took them as hostages, see Ennepetal hostage taking. Division of the town Ennepetal is divided into nine quarters (''Ortsteile''), which resemble former towns and villages. Ennepetal (Gevelsberg) Station
Ennepetal (Gevelsberg) station is a 160-year-old station on the Elberfeld–Dortmund railway built by the Bergisch-Märkische Railway Company. It is in the city of Ennepetal in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The former station building is one of the oldest of its kind in North Rhine-Westphalia and has been listed as a monument since 1986. The station is on the Industrial Heritage Trail. History With the construction of the Elberfeld–Dortmund line by the Bergisch-Märkische Railway Company in 1848, a station was opened in Milspe, now a suburb of Ennepetal, on 9 March 1849. The station was a timber-framed building. It was called Milspe station until 1954, when it was renamed ''Ennepetal-Milspe'', reflecting the merger of the towns of Milspe and Voerde as Ennepetal 1949. Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis
The Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis is a district in the center of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is part of the southern Ruhr urban area and has ca. 324,000 inhabitants (2012). The district's seat (capital city) is Schwelm; the largest of its nine towns is Witten. Geography The name of the district describes its geographical location – it is located in the valleys of the rivers Ruhr and Ennepe. Ennepe
The Ennepe () is a river, and a left tributary of the Volme in Northern Sauerland, Germany. It gave its name to the town Ennepetal, and the district Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis. Course of River The Ennepe begins in the Märkischer Kreis southeast of Halver, at 422 m above sea level, and continues to the Ennepetalsperre (reservoir, 307 m above sea level). The river flows through Ennepetal, Gevelsberg, and the western boroughs of Hagen. It flows into the Volme, near Hagen Central Station (elevation: 99 m above sea level). Screw
A screw is an externally helical threaded fastener capable of being tightened or released by a twisting force (torque) to the screw head, head. The most common uses of screws are to hold objects together and there are many forms for a variety of materials.
