Stockholms Kappsimningsklubb, commonly known as Stockholms KK or SKK, is a Swedish swimming club from Stockholm founded on 12 July 1895, who competes in swimming and water polo. The swimming club goes under the nickname ''Kappis''. The most famous swimmers of SKK are the twin brothers Arne Borg and Åke Borg. SKK organizes yearly an invitational meet named after Arne Borg, ''Arne Borgs minne''. Stockholms KK resides in Eriksdalsbadet, Åkeshovs simhall, Nälstabadet, and Spångabadet. History Founded in 1895, Stockholms KK was one of the first swimming clubs specialised in competitive swimming, where earlier had been running shows and swimming graduation ceremonies (), and organised the first Swedish Swimming Championships. Diving is the sport of jumping or falling into water from a Diving platform, platform or springboard, usually while performing acrobatics. Diving is an internationally recognised sport that is part of the Olympic Games. In addition, unstructured and non-competitive diving is a recreational pastime. Competitors possess many of the same characteristics as gymnastics, gymnasts and dancers, including strength, flexibility, kinaesthetic judgement and air awareness. 1912 Summer Olympics
The 1912 Summer Olympics (), officially known as the Games of the V Olympiad () and commonly known as Stockholm 1912, were an international multi-sport event held in Stockholm, Sweden, between 6 July and 22 July 1912. The opening ceremony was held on 6 July. Twenty-eight nations and 2,408 competitors, including 48 women, competed in 102 events in 14 sports. With the exception of tennis (starting on 5 May) and football and shooting (both starting on 29 June), the games were held within a month with an official opening on 6 July. It was the last Olympics to issue solid gold medals and, with Japan at the 1912 Summer Olympics, Japan's debut, the first time an official team from an Asian nation participated. Stockholm was the only bid for the games, and was selected in 1909. Diving At The 1912 Summer Olympics – Women's 10 Metre Platform
The women's 10 metre platform, also known as ''high (plain) diving for ladies'' competition, was one of four diving (sport), diving events on the diving at the 1912 Summer Olympics programme. It was the first diving event for women at the Summer Olympic Games. The competition was held from Wednesday 10 July 1912, to Saturday 13 July 1912. Fourteen divers from three nations competed. Results The competition was actually held from both 10 metre and 5 metre platforms. Divers performed a standing plain dive and a running plain dive from the 10 metre platform, a running plain dive and a backward somersault from the 5 metre platform, and three dives of the competitor's choice from the 10 metre platform. Five judges scored each diver, giving two results. Each judge gave an ordinal placing for each diver in a group, with the five scores being summed to give a total ordinal points score. Lisa Regnell
Lisa Teresia Regnell (later ''Lindh''; 3 February 1887 – 5 November 1979) was a Swedish diving (sport), diver who won the silver medal in the 10 m platform event at the 1912 Olympics. Her younger sister Elsa Regnell, Elsa finished fourth in the same competition, while her elder brother Nils Regnell, Nils was an Olympic swimmer. Regnell graduated as organist from a musical academy and was the first female member of the Swedish Swimming Federation in 1914–20. She was married to Sam Lindh, who was the treasurer of the same federation in 1918–32.
