Elisha Abas
Elisha Abas (; born 1971) is an Israeli pianist, composer, and former professional football player. Abas received his musical training from Israeli pianist and pedagogue Pnina Salzman and benefited from the mentorship of Artur Rubinstein. He performed interpretations of works by composers such as Chopin and Schumann. Life and career Abas is the great-great-grandson of Russian composer Alexander Scriabin (1872–1915), via Ariadna Scriabina (1905–22 July 1944), Gilbert-Elizabeth "Betty" Knut-Lazarus (1926–1964), and his mother Ariane Abas (1950–). His father is the Israeli children's author Shlomo Abas (1948–). Abas began performing at the age of six, sharing the stage with the likes of Isaac Stern, Leonard Bernstein and Zubin Mehta throughout his career. Yoel Gamzou
Yoel Gamzou (; 10 March 1988) is an Israeli-American conductor and composer, known for works by Gustav Mahler, especially his completion of Mahler's Symphony No. 10. He has been music director at the Theater Bremen from 2017, and has conducted at major European opera houses. Life and career Born in Tel Aviv, Gamzou grew up in a family of musicians. He learned cello as a boy, and was exposed to music by Gustav Mahler, which inspired him at age 12 to pursue being a conductor. He completed schooling at age 14. At age 15, he moved to New York City to study. He tried regular studies also in Paris and London, but failed. He studied privately in Italy as the last student of Carlo Maria Giulini.
