Eesti Laul
Eesti Laul () is an annual music competition organised by Estonian public broadcaster (ERR). It determines for the Eurovision Song Contest, and has been staged every year since Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, 2009. Eesti Laul was introduced in 2009, replacing the former Eurolaul festival which had been used since Estonia's first Eurovision participation in 1993. It is one of the most popular television programmes in Estonia; it is also broadcast on radio and the Internet. In 2012, the semi-finals averaged 199,000 viewers, and over an estimated 296,000 viewers watched the final. Eesti Rahvusringhääling
Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR) – ''Estonian Public Broadcasting'' – is a publicly funded and owned radio and television organisation created in Estonia on 1 June 2007 to take over the functions of the formerly separate Eesti Raadio (ER) (''Estonian Radio'') and Eesti Televisioon (ETV) (''Estonian Television''), under the terms of the Estonian National Broadcasting Act. The first chair of ERR is Margus Allikmaa, the former chair of Eesti Raadio. Present CEO is Erik Roose. The organisation has proved popular since its creation, with Eesti Televisioon, ETV becoming the national television channel, creating and producing their own shows. Robin Juhkental
Robin Juhkental (born 20 May 1988) is an Estonian singer. He is the frontman of Malcolm Lincoln. Juhkental studied at Kivimäe põhikool and Tallinna Nõmme Gümnaasium. He has also studied road engineering in Tallinn University of Applied Sciences. Juhkental has never taken any singing lessons. He participated as a contestant in the ''Kaks takti ette'' (2007) and ''Eesti otsib superstaari'' (2009) television shows. Malcolm Lincoln, along with a group of backing vocalists called Manpower 4, won the competition Eesti Laul 2010 with the song " Siren" and represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Play (Jüri Pootsmann Song)
Estonia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Play" written by Fred Krieger, Stig Rästa and Vallo Kikas. The song was performed by Jüri Pootsmann. The Estonian broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR) organised the national final ''Eesti Laul 2016'' in order to select the Estonian entry for the 2016 contest in Stockholm, Sweden. The national final consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Ten songs competed in each semi-final and the top five from each semi-final as determined by a jury panel and public vote qualified to the final. In the final, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury panel and a public vote selected the top three to qualify to the superfinal. Stig Rästa
Raul-Stig Rästa (born 24 February 1980) is an Estonian singer and songwriter who, along with singer Elina Born, represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song " Goodbye to Yesterday". Since 2025, Rästa has been a member of the 15th Riigikogu. Career Between 2002 and 2006 he formed a band Slobodan River with Ithaka Maria and Tomi Rahula. Since 2006 he has played in Traffic and also in Outloudz since 2010. In 2011 he was a contestant in the fifth season of ''Let's Dance''. He was partnered with Karina Vesman and they finished in fourth place. In 2012, Stig played Moritz in the Estonian original production of the musical '' Spring Awakening''. Elina Born
Elina Born (born 29 June 1994) is an Estonian singer. She represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 along with Stig Rästa with the song " Goodbye to Yesterday". She previously attempted to represent Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 with the song "Enough", and attempted to represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 finishing last in the final. Tanja Mihhailova-Saar
Tatjana Mihhailova-Saar (, born 19 June 1983), better known as Tanja or Tanja Mihhailova is a Russian-Estonian pop singer and actress. She was born in Kaliningrad, Russia, and has lived in Estonia from a very young age. Tanja has been a member of several bands in her professional career and has performed in several stage musicals. She represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song " Amazing" and finished in 12th place in the semi-final, failing to qualify. Birgit Sarrap
Birgit Sarrap (; born 24 September 1988), also known mononymously as Birgit, is an Estonian singer. She rose to prominence in 2007 after winning the first season of '' Eesti otsib superstaari'', the Estonian version of '' Idol''. Her debut self-titled studio album was later released in 2008. Birgit has gone on to release four other studio albums in her career. Aapo Ilves
Aapo Ilves (; born 20 October 1970, in Räpina) is an Estonian poet, writer, playwright, artist and musician. He writes in Estonian, Võro and Seto languages. Ilves has also written song lyrics for other artists, including several "Hits of the Year" and also Estonian Eurovision entries " Tii" in 2004 and Kuula in 2012. He has published nine solo books, two solo CD's and many books and CD's with friends. Ilves has also written many plays, including several librettos for the Estonian National Opera. Ott Lepland
Ott Lepland (born 17 May 1987) is an Estonian people, Estonian singer. He first received national mainstream attention in 2009, after winning the Eesti otsib superstaari (season 3), third season of ''Eesti otsib superstaari''. Lepland represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest, Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with the song "''Kuula (Ott Lepland song), Kuula''" placing 6th in the final.
