Edgar Alejandro Cortez Espinoza (born August 10, 1989, in Santa Teresa, Carazo, Nicaragua) is a Nicaraguan middle distance runner who specializes in the 800 metres. His personal best in the event is 1:49.10 achieved in 2011 in Daegu which is the current Nicaraguan record. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics, in London, England. He was 7th in his round 1 heat with a time of 1:58.99. Athletics At The 2010 Central American And Caribbean Games
The athletics competition at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games was held at the Mayagüez Athletics Stadium in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico from July 24–30. A total of 47 events were contested, 24 by men and 23 by women, and 12 Games records were set. Also, 3 national records were set (2 by the men and 1 by the women). Of the twenty-three nations that won a medal in the competition, Jamaica was the most successful, topping the table with ten golds and an overall haul of 25 medals. Miramar, Florida
Miramar is a city in southern Broward County, Florida, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 134,721. It is a principal city of the Miami metropolitan area, which is home to approximately six million people. History Miramar was founded by A.L. Mailman to serve as a "bedroom community" for nearby Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Mailman bought the original property he was to develop from H.D. Perry, Sr. in 1953. He built 56 homes on the property that were inexpensive homes of concrete and flat roofs. These homes sold quickly because of the low cost of both the homes and the land, and the city of Miramar came into being.
