Troy Davies
Peter Vanessa "Troy" Davies (1960–2007), sometimes known as Ecco Homo or Vanessa, was an Australian artist, singer, and musician. Career Under the stage name Ecco Homo, he signed a record deal with RooArt. He released two singles, "Motorcycle Baby" and "New York, New York". The video clip of the former featured Michael Hutchence, and the latter featured Bono and The Edge. Producers and musicians who worked on the singles include Ollie Olsen, Gus Till, Michael Sheridan, Bill McDonald (all from Max Q) and Big Pig's Sherine Abeyratne. Lynn-Maree Milburn
Lynn-Maree Milburn is an Australian writer, director, editor and film producer. Milburn directed the feature-length documentary ''In Bob We Trust'' and co-directed the feature-length documentary '' Autoluminescent'', In 1993 she wrote, animated, produced and directed '' Memories and Dreams'', a feature-length dramatised documentary that was an Official Selection at the Venice, Telluride, and Yamagata Film Festivals, and Hungary's Mediawave. ''Memories and Dreams'' won multiple awards including the Jury Prize at Mediawave, Best Film at the Melbourne International Film Festival and the AFI Open Craft Award. Richard Lowenstein
Richard Lowenstein (born 1 March 1959) is an Australian filmmaker. He has written, produced and directed: feature films, including '' Strikebound'' (1984), ''Dogs in Space'' (1986) and ''He Died with a Felafel in His Hand'' (2001); music videos for bands such as INXS and U2; concert performance films, '' Australian Made: The Movie'' (1987) and '' U2: LoveTown'' (1989); and TV adverts. Biography Richard Lowenstein was born on 1 March 1959 in Melbourne. His mother was the author, oral historian, and activist, Wendy Lowenstein (née Katherin Wendy Robertson, 1927–2006). His father is Werner Lowenstein, also an activist, who had fled Nazi Germany to United Kingdom and was relocated to Australia in 1940 as one of the ''Dunera'' boys. The Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) is an annual film festival held over three weeks in Melbourne, Australia. It was founded in 1952 and is one of the oldest film festivals in the world following the founding of the Venice Film Festival in 1932, Cannes Film Festival in 1939 and Berlin Film Festival in 1951. Originally launched at Olinda outside Melbourne in 1952 as the Olinda Film Festival, in 1953, the event was renamed the Melbourne Film Festival.
