Dublin High School (California)
Dublin High School is a four-year high school located in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It is the only currently operating high school in the Dublin Unified School District—as another high school in the city has yet to be constructed and operational—and serves about 3,500 students. Dublin High has been selected a California Distinguished School five times since 1990 (1990, 1992, 1996, 2003, and 2017). It has a California Department of Education statewide rank of 10 (out of 10) and a similar schools rank of 10 (out of 10). In August 2015, Dublin High School was notified of inclusion in ''Newsweek''s 2015 List of America's Top Public High Schools (ranked #165, the top ranked Tri-Valley high school). Dublin, California
Dublin (formerly, Amador and Dougherty's Station) is a suburban city of the East Bay in California. It is located within the Amador Valley of Alameda County's Tri-Valley region. It is located along the north side of Interstate 580 at the intersection with Interstate 680, roughly east of downtown San Francisco, east of downtown Oakland, and north of downtown San Jose. It was referred to as "Dublin" in reference to the city of Dublin, Ireland, because of the large number of Irish who lived there. The post office formally adopted the name in the 1890s. The population was 72,589 as of the 2020 census, which had grown from 46,063 in 2010. In 2013, Dublin was the second fastest-growing city in the state of California, behind only Santa Clarita. Symphony Center is a music complex located at 220 South Michigan Avenue in the Loop area of Chicago, Illinois. Western Band Association
The Western Band Association (WBA) is a nonprofit organization that promotes high school music education in California, Arizona and Nevada. Specifically, the WBA organizes many marching band competitions for high school students. Its championships event is considered to be the second-largest single marching contest in the country. In addition to marching band events, WBA also organizes concert band festivals, symposia, and musical and leadership clinics.
