''Dressed Up as Life'' is the second studio album released by the Australian alternative rock band Sick Puppies Sick Puppies is an Australian alternative metal band formed in Sydney, New South Wales in 1997. After releasing their debut album '' Welcome to the Real World'' in 2001, the band rose to prominence in 2006 when their song "All the Same" was up ..., but was their first album to be released in the United States. It was released on 3 April 2007 and peaked at No. 181 on the US ''Billboard'' 200 albums chart. The song " All the Same" is the theme for Juan Mann's Free Hugs Campaign video on YouTube, although it also has its own video. Deutsch Advertising creatives Michael Leibowitz and Eric Rojas oversaw the CD design for ''Dressed Up as Life''. The album has sold over 150,000 copies in the United States to date. Sick Puppies is an Australian alternative metal band formed in Sydney, New South Wales in 1997. After releasing their debut album '' Welcome to the Real World'' in 2001, the band rose to prominence in 2006 when their song "All the Same" was uploaded, along with a video, to YouTube. The video supported the Free Hugs Campaign, which was launched in Sydney, and has since received over 78 million views on the website. Alternative Airplay (formerly known as Modern Rock Tracks (1988–2009) and Alternative Songs (2009–2020)) is a music chart in the United States that has appeared in ''Billboard'' magazine since September 10, 1988. It ranks the 40 most-played songs on alternative and modern rock radio stations. Introduced as Modern Rock Tracks, the chart served as a companion to the Mainstream Rock chart (then called Album Rock Tracks), and its creation was prompted by the explosion of alternative music on American radio in the late 1980s. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. Shimon Moore
Shimon "Shim" Moore is a rock music songwriter, producer, performing artist, as well as a TV and film actor. Shimon was born on November 11, 1982, in Sydney, Australia. Acting career He began his acting career at the age of nine when he was cast for an ice cream commercial which led to other commercial roles including Kellogg's and McDonalds. At the age of ten he became interested in music and began learning to play instruments and writing songs. At the age of 17 Shimon became a professional movie actor when he was cast for the leading role of "Jamie Duncan", a young teenager enchanted with mythical powers, in the 2000 fantasy fiction film "Selkie (film)". Mark Goodwin (musician)
Mark Goodwin (born July 17, 1986) is an American drummer. He is best known as the drummer for the Australian rock band Sick Puppies. Biography Goodwin grew up in Orange County in California and started playing the drums when he was 12 years old. As he never took drumming lessons, he watched as many drummers as he could and listened to music and drums constantly. Before moving to Los Angeles after high school, he played drums in several local bands. Musical career Sick Puppies (2003–present) Mark joined Sick Puppies in 2003 after their drummer, Chris Mileski left the band prior to Sick Puppies moving to the United States. He met Sick Puppies in Los Angeles through a classified ad and was asked to join the band. He has been the drummer of Sick Puppies since 2003, writing lyrics to a few tracks off their albums since Connect, and occasionally provides backup vocals.
