Dmitry Dmitriyevich Poloz (russian: Дми́трий Дми́триевич По́лоз; born 12 July 1991) is a Russian professional footballer who plays as a winger or second striker for FC Rostov. Club career Poloz was born in Stavropol. He began to play football for his hometown club Dynamo Stavropol and joined the youth ranks of Lokomotiv Moscow in 2008. On 15 July 2009, he made his professional debut for Lokomotiv Moscow in a 1-2 away loss to SKA-Energiya Khabarovsk in the Russian Cup. Rostov On 10 January 2012, Poloz signed a three-year contract with Russian Premier League club Rostov. On 17 March 2012, he made his debut for a new club in a league game against Terek Grozny. 2011–12 FC Rostov Season
The 2011–12 Rostov season was the 3rd straight season that the club played in the Russian Premier League, the highest tier of football in Russia. They finished the season in 13th place, meaning they had to win a Relegation Playoff against Shinnik Yaroslavl, which they won 4–0 on aggregate. Rostov also competed in the 2010–11 & 2011–12 Russian Cup reaching the semi-finals in both. Rostov started the season with Oleh Protasov as manager, but he was sacked as manager on 13 May 2011, being replaced by Volodymyr Lyutyi in a caretaker capacity. Lyutyi himself was sacked as caretaker on 20 June 2011, being replaced by Andrei Talalayev, also as caretaker. The Russian Premier League (RPL; russian: Российская премьер-лига; РПЛ), also written as Russian Premier Liga, is the top division professional association football league in Russia. 2009 Russian Premier League
The 2009 Russian Premier League was the 18th season of the Russian football championship since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and 8th under the current Russian Premier League name. The season started on 14 March 2009 with a goalless draw between Amkar Perm and Rostov. The last matches were played on 29 November 2009. On 21 November 2009 Rubin Kazan successfully retained their champion's title. Teams As in the previous season, 16 teams played in the 2009 season. The Russian Cup () is a football competition held annually by the Football Union of Russia for professional and some amateur (only after a special permission and licensing by Russian Football Union) football clubs. The winner of the competition ordinarily got a spot in the UEFA Europa League group stage. However, all Russian clubs, as well as the national team, have been barred from European competition due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
