Disney Hotel Cheyenne
The Disney Hotel Cheyenne is a hotel located at Disneyland Paris. Designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern Architects (who also designed Disney's Newport Bay Club), it is devised to create the illusion that it is a Western town in the archetypal Hollywood style rather than a single hotel complex. This is accomplished through façades and other decor inspired by popular representations of the American Old West. The façades feature the names of such Western institutions as " Saloon", "Jail", "Billy The Kid" or "Annie Oakley". It shares an area of Disneyland Resort Paris with Disney Hotel Santa Fe, located on either side of a man-made river called the "Rio Grande". Disneyland Paris is an entertainment resort in Chessy, Seine-et-Marne, Chessy, France, east of Paris. It encompasses two theme parks, resort hotels, Disney Nature Resorts, a shopping, dining and entertainment complex, and a golf course. Annie Oakley
Annie Oakley (born Phoebe Ann Mosey; August 13, 1860 – November 3, 1926) was an American sharpshooter who starred in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show. Oakley developed hunting skills as a child to provide for her impoverished family in western Ohio. At age 15, she won a shooting contest against an experienced marksman, Frank E. Butler, whom she later married in 1876. The pair joined Buffalo Bill in 1885, performing in Europe before royalty and other heads of state. Audiences were astounded to see her shooting out a cigar from her husband's hand or splitting a playing-card edge-on at 30 paces. She earned more than anyone except Buffalo Bill himself. After a bad rail accident in 1901, she had to settle for a less taxing routine, and toured in a play written about her career. Disney Hotel Santa Fe
The Disney Hotel Santa Fe is a hotel at Disneyland Paris. It is designed by Albuquerque-based architect Antoine Predock, whose other work stands mainly in the American Southwest, to evoke the atmosphere of a motel in Santa Fe, New Mexico with its typical Pueblo Revival architecture. Surrounding the buildings is a desert-like environment in which cacti and decorative neon have been placed to further emphasise the American Southwestern theme. A drive-in theater screen is permanently displaying characters from the ''Cars'' franchise, and an intentionally derelict neon sign stands at the entrance. Billy The Kid
Billy the Kid (born Henry McCarty; September 17 or November 23, 1859July 14, 1881), also known by the pseudonym William H. Bonney, was an outlaw and gunfighter of the American Old West, who killed eight men before he was shot and killed at the age of 21. He also fought in New Mexico's Lincoln County War, during which he allegedly committed three murders. McCarty was orphaned at the age of 15.
