Dimos Dikoudis
Dimosthenis "Dimos" Dikoudis (alternate spellings include: Demosthenis, Demos, Ntikoudis) ( el, Δημοσθένης "Δήμος" Ντικούδης; born June 24, 1977 in Larissa, Greece), is a retired Greek professional basketball player. He is 2.08 m (6 ft 10 in) tall, and he played as a power forward-center. Early years Dikoudis started playing football at the age of 10, and later he was involved in Taekwondo. After two years of martial arts, he started playing basketball in his school team. With his school, he won the city championship, which was his first title, and right after that, he joined his first club, Perseas of Larissa. He played there until age 18, and he won four city and state championships there. With this club, he also won a national title, and was a member of the all state team. The Greek Basket League MVP is the yearly MVP award that is awarded by the 1st-tier professional basketball league in Greece, the Greek Basket League. Since the 2014–15 season, the Greek Basket League MVP award is voted on by the fans online, whereas previously it was not. The voting is currently decided by a ratio of 40% by the fans and the media, and 60% by the head coaches and the captains of each of the 14 teams of the Greek Basket League. The 2005 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 2005, was the 34th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe. It also served as Europe qualifier for the 2006 FIBA World Championship, giving a berth to the top six teams in the final standings. The 2006 FIBA World Championship was the 15th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship for men's national teams.
