Derrick Walser
Derrick Walser (born May 12, 1978) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently an assistant coach of the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League. Walser played 91 National Hockey League (NHL) games with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Career Walser was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Calgary Flames on October 16, 1998. He was immediately assigned to Calgary's ECHL affiliate in Johnstown. Walser would spend parts of two seasons with the Johnstown Chiefs where he would score 25 goals and 38 goals in 73 games. Walser, along with teammate Joel Irving were named starters for the Eastern Conference in the 2000 ECHL All-Star game. Walser would spend the entire 2000-01 season in the AHL with the Saint John Flames. New Glasgow is a town in Pictou County, in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. ECHL
The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a mid-level professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams scattered across the United States and Canada. It is a tier below the American Hockey League (AHL). The ECHL and the AHL are the only minor leagues recognized by the collective bargaining agreement between the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players' Association, meaning any player signed to an entry-level NHL contract and designated for assignment must report to a club in either the ECHL or the AHL. The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers are a professional ice hockey club from Rapperswil, Switzerland and are members of the National League. History The Lakers were founded in 1945 and were known as SC Rapperswil-Jona until 2005, when the club changed its name to Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and then again changed their name to SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in 2015. Hockey Club Vityaz (, en, HC Knight) is a professional ice hockey team based in Podolsk, Moscow Oblast, Russia. They are members of the Bobrov Division of the Kontinental Hockey League. The Toronto Marlies are a professional ice hockey team based in Toronto. They compete in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a member of the North Division of the Eastern Conference. Mark Flood (born September 29, 1984) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who last played for Rouen "C" of the Ligue Magnus. He previously played with the New York Islanders and Winnipeg Jets in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Flood was drafted in the sixth round, 188th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. Jared Rittenhouse Boll (born May 13, 1986) is an American former professional ice hockey player. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for nine seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets organization before closing out his career after two seasons with the Anaheim Ducks. During his playing career, he was known primarily for his role as an enforcer. Playing career Boll was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
