''Delicious Surprise'' is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Jo Dee Messina, released in 2005. Her first studio album since ''Burn (Jo Dee Messina album), Burn'' almost five years previous, it produced a Number One single on the ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' country music charts in "My Give a Damn's Busted", a song co-written by country singer Joe Diffie and originally recorded on his 2001 album ''In Another World (Joe Diffie album), In Another World''. Additional singles released from ''Delicious Surprise'' include "Delicious Surprise (song), Delicious Surprise (I Believe It)", "Not Going Down", and "It's Too Late to Worry", all of which charted in the Top 40 on the country charts as well. Jo Dee Marie Messina (born August 25, 1970) is an American country music artist. She has charted six number-one singles on the '' Billboard'' country music charts. She has been honored by the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. She was the first female country artist to score three multiple-week number-one songs from the same album. To date, she has two platinum and three gold-certified albums by the RIAA. Messina debuted in 1996 with the single "Heads Carolina, Tails California." Her album was certified gold by the RIAA. Wayne Kirkpatrick (born c. 1961) is an American songwriter and musician born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana who now lives in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet High School in 1979. His younger brother is American screenwriter and director Karey Kirkpatrick. Mike Reid (singer)
Michael Barry Reid (born May 24, 1947) is an American country music artist, composer, and former American football player. Born and raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania, United States, Reid attended college at and graduated from the Pennsylvania State University, where he played defensive lineman for the Penn State Nittany Lions football team. He then spent five seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League, earning trips to the Pro Bowl after the 1972 and 1973 seasons, before retiring after the 1974 season. He subsequently focused on his musical career, co-writing several hit singles for country music artists, including Ronnie Milsap's " Stranger in My House", which won a Grammy Award for Best Country Song in 1984. Mark Otis Selby (September 2, 1961 – September 18, 2017) was an American blues rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. Born in Enid, Oklahoma, he was a solo artist, signed to ZYX Records in Europe, and one half of performing duo with his wife, songwriter Tia Sillers. He also played guitar in recording sessions for musical artists such as Kenny Rogers, Johnny Reid, Keni Thomas, Jimmy Hall, and Wynonna Judd. Tony Martin is a country music songwriter who has had fifteen number-one hits as a songwriter. Among his compositions are "Third Rock from the Sun" by Joe Diffie, "Just to See You Smile" by Tim McGraw, "You Look Good in My Shirt" by Keith Urban, and "No Place That Far" by Sara Evans. Chris Farren is an American country music songwriter and record producer. He is the president of Combustion Music, a publishing and music production company which was founded in 2001. After attending East Carolina University, Farren signed with MCA in 1983 for a songwriting contract, with which he composed songs for movies and television. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in the mid-1980s and sang backing vocals in addition to writing songs.
